@leeneliefje: I have family in America, and my mother is an English teacher, so I just grew up speaking English. What about you?

I have a horse that is fond of apples and pears. <3 She loves to make a mess with them. When she's eating them her nose becomes dirty and sticky and she likes to clean her nose on my shirt.

What does your horse like?

My horse really, really loves carrots.. Sometimes it's a bit annoying, but when I give her the carrot she looks like the happiest horse on the world :')

Hahaha, aww

Hahaha, excuse me. :')
I would really love to join too :))

I would use the word "aswell" in this sentence.

Horzelover9. Sometimes a word in dutch does not have a word (with the same meaning) in English.

You could say "I am taking care of someone else's horse"

Maybe it's easier that we don't correct each other for every single sentence ....
If we do, we just keep going and going and going....

Oh I recon that'll come in handy with your school and stuff :)
I've lived in england for a couple of years, when i was 5 years old. When i was six we moved back to holland because my parents were separated. And i have a lot of family in england and my granny is english. She tries to speak dutch but most of her sentences are half dutch half English. :')
so if you like it or not, you're going to speak and hear a lot of English with family gatherings haha

Wow this topic is so crowded already! At the end of June my last two tests of this year are scheduled and my studybooks are all in English, so this might be a good start to come back in the English sphere.

Samantha! Nice to see you here.
Horse Photography <3 I can't wait until the schoolyear is finally over. I have exams until the 19th of June, but if I fail one I'll be studying until the 13th of July...

Maybe fun to know: My great great (and more times great) grandparents were the Stuarts.
So I have blue blood. Do they know that expression in English?

Yeah! It will be a bore like that, i agree.
Maybe people can say
'i'm not sure if I said this wrong' or 'is this how you say this"
and then we can respond with a correction.

that's so cool! I don't know the stuarts, but it's really nice to have a kind of royal person in this topic haha. I don't know if 'blue blood' is something you say in english..

Sorry, but if you are trying to correct someone, make sure you use the right words..
BTW, my uncle has lived his entire life in England, so that helped with both the pronunciation as the writing .. ;)

Hi Guys! I'll join too!
I've done bilingual education for the past three years, and now I sadly had to go to pre-vocational school. After this semester, I'll go to college :D, and after that another college :D.

I've been riding since I was 8. And since 3 years I have a horse to care for, and for riding as well :).

I joined because I think it's a great way to think about correct grammatics again.

Graduated with an A+ on my exam years ago but MSN screwed up my grammatics.. "ya know?" _O-

Horrible but true!

Forgot a underscore in aswell :') It is as well indeed.

Well I don't mind being corrected? It is a great way to learn how to type in English correctly.. :D

mh.. I don't know. I see a lot of people here who want to improve their English, how can they improve it when no one points out their mistakes...?

By the way, English was a disaster at my high school. I finally started to get it once I read a couple of books. I'd really recommend that for anybody who wants to learn it - just start reading! Don't choose hard literature or a book about horse training though. Just a genre you like :)

I would say royal to. Actually i think you wouldn't call it 'royal blood' but just 'royals' in the uk.
Not sure, i'm going to google it :))

I'm bad in English, but this is very good for me.
Today I had an English oral.
