Ik heb een mailtje terug gekregen van de eigenaar, Judy Quinn:
Citaat:
Dear Rianne,
I would be delighted if you and a possible colleague could come soon. There is always so much to do. I also think it would be good experience for you as we have many 'unusual' problems with donkeys here, you will see a lot that you may not see in a life time working in Holland. The vets here have no experience with equines and I also have to telephone a vet in Belgium when I have problems I don't know what to do about.
I can get you cheap accommodation in Liapades where many students and volunteers have stayed. It has kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms and a lounge. The price is 50 euros a week for one person and 65 euros for two persons a week. You will not get cheaper. However it is 20 mins scooter ride away from the shelter so you will need to hire a scooter or car. A scooter is about 8-9 euros a day.
You can travel by train and ferry but this takes 2 days so 4 days will be travelling. I know the flights are expensive from Holland. Vera suggests you travel from Dusseldorf airport. There is only one airport on Corfu so you cant fly to the wrong place. I can collect you from airport, take you to accommodation and scooter/car hire place. We have 2 Animal Care students here at the moment, they are Dutch too, so it will be company for you and you can help in their training too if you wished. They are very nice, dedicated girls.
I do hope you can come, if there is anything else I can help you with please let me know,
Judy
