[verhaal] Finders Keepers

Tja ik ben weer lekker bezig, Ik heb weer een goed verhaal in mn hoofd(een fanfiction over een band) en heb een gedeelte uitgewerkt. als er mensen zijn die het leuk vinden dat zal ik verder schrijven . in ieder geval hier is chapter 1.

het is trouwens wel weer engels aangezien ik ook op engelse fora post en ik het in het Ned moet vertalen.

Title: Finders Keepers

Genre: Romance/comedy maybe)
Note: It's just a little try out. if there are any people who really like it then I'll continue the story.

Summary: The guys meet a girl on the street. the girl has got some weird idea's but they take her along on their tour. Lauri will fall in love with her though there is one problem...

Disclaimer: I don't know anyone of the members of the Rasmus. Everything that happens in this ff has never happened in reality!

Finders keepers

Chapter 1:
The lights went off and the people cheered. I couldn’t help myself and smiled. The gig went great and the people liked our performance. When the lights went on again we all walked to the front of the stage and bowed to the crowd. “Thank you all! We loved to play here!” We all left the stage with a big grin on hour face especially when a flying teddy bear almost hit Pauli. When we couldn’t been seen by the people they all shouted, “we want more! We want more!” I looked at Aki who grinned, then I looked at Eero and Pauli they both smiled. “Shall we?” Aki already walked back and when he appeared everybody shouted and screamed even louder. It always made me feel good to be with fans and just to be on stage singing my songs. We played two more songs before we really left the stage. I threw my bottle of water in the crowd and the girls all tried to get the little bottle. It was weird actually that they could be so excited from such a little thing. Aki threw away his drumsticks as well so a lot of fans were made happy today.

“That went great!”
“Lovely crowd as well!” I got myself another bottle of water because I got really thirsty. Then I felt a big need for a cigarette. I felt in all my pockets but couldn’t find them there. “Has someone seen my cigarettes?” I looked at the guys who all shook their heads. “Great, now I’ve got to find them. I went to all the places in the building where I had been but I couldn’t find them so I went back for the guys. “Can’t find them anywhere!” Aki grinned and the others looked guilty. “What?” Aki’s grin became bigger “you have smoked them all, remember!!”
“I did?” they all nodded. How could I actually forget that? I guess this would be a bad night. I just needed them. My parents and sister complained that I smoked too much.. Maybe they were right. I didn’t care it was my life that I had to live! “You all haven’t got some have you?” they all shook their head again. I already knew the answer though there was nothing wrong with hoping it. I sat down and sighted. “So what are we going to do now?” Aki held up a bottle “we are going to a really good after party and get so drunk so we throw up tomorrow on stage!” I raised my bottle of water “I’m in!” Pauli joined as well though Eero was the only one who said that he would go meditating.

We left through the backstage door. The fans couldn’t reach this door so we could walk freely, for now at least. When we reached the gate to the street we saw a girl having troubles with some drunken guys. Aki stood next to me looking at the girl and the guys as well “I guess she is trouble there” I looked around if I could find a security guy or someone else but there no one was here. Aki opened the gate “I guess we will be her saviour then! I just hope they won’t start any more trouble than they are causing now” I nodded and followed Aki. I sometimes admired him how he could just be himself. We all walked to the girl and the guys. One of them even hit the girl so hard that she actually smacked down the ground. Another one picked her up again and hit her to the ground again. Aki fastened his path and so did we who were following him. “Hey let her go!” the guys looked up and started laughing. “What if we won’t? What would you do then? Little man!” The guys stepped away from the girl and now walked to Aki. I was standing a bit further away though I didn’t really know why? I saw that the girl tried to stand up though it wasn’t going that well. The guys were now standing in front of us and we had to look up to them because they were both bigger than us. “Don’t make any trouble, Please! I just want that you’ll let the girl go, what ever she has done to you!” I looked at Eero who tried to talk with the guys though they ignored him and his lecture. These guys were looking from trouble I now realised and they probably wouldn’t leave until they were satisfied. “The girl is our problem and little dwarves should stay out of this!” the guy pushed Aki away and I knew that Aki could get really fed up with this. “Hey get your hand off of him,” I shouted to the guy who just pushed Aki and wanted to continue with it. The guy now walked over me and raised his hand to hit me. I saw that the other guy was laughing and cheering the whole time for his partner. I tried to avoid the punch but it was to late for me. And felt the fist landing in my stomach. The air got sucked out of me and for a moment I lost my sight. I felt on my knees from the pain when I suddenly heard another smack, which made me look up. I saw that the guy who had punched me now lay down on the street as well with his face to the ground and I saw Aki with his fist still raised. I felt Eero’s arms around me “are you okay?” I now realised that the pain was pretty much gone already though I knew that I would feel it later again. I nodded and stood up.
The other guy who was watching and cheering for his partner the whole time now looked shocked. I guess he never realised that his buddy would get hit to the ground himself. When Aki and Pauli took a few steps towards him the guy ran away like they were something really dangerous. I looked at the girl who now finally had managed to get on her feet. I quickly walked over to her. While the others were taking care of the other guy. “Are you okay?” I lay my hand on her shoulder, which made her look up. The girl had long brown hair and though it was dark I could see that she had got blue eyes. Her eyes were full of tears and her lip bleat thanks to a beating there. She looked frightened but also thankful. She almost fell down again but I caught her on time. “Are you okay?” I asked again though when I though back I knew it was a stupid question because she could barely stand on her own feet. I felt a hand resting on my shoulder. Aki and the others were now standing around the girl as well. Eero was the first one who came up with a plan “maybe we should get her to our hotel and wait until the police arrives?”
“That might me a good idea,” we all agreed with Eero’s plan and brought her with not too much trouble to our hotel which was luckily not that far away.

Chapter 2:
“Watch your steps here and don’t look at the big mess!” we brought her into my room. We brought her to the bed where she sat down. Here in the room with the lights on, you could really see what she had gone through. Eero came with some ice, which she could put on her face. On the way here we had called the police and informed them what happened. They would come to the hotel to check it out. The girl hasn’t said a thing yet but that was understandable. I sat down next to her “it will be alright! Aki scared them away for you!” The girl looked at Aki who sat in front of her with a smile on his face and he made some weird gesture like he was superman. The girl smiled for a moment, then she looked at all of us and with a soft voice she said: “Thank you!”
We all took care of her; we gave her some water and something to eat. After a little while the girl must have felt more comfortable because she started talking. “I just can’t understand these guys! Just because I’m a bit weird doesn’t mean you’ve got to beat me up like that!” I was a bit surprised when I heard this, she looked so fragile at first but now when I looked at her I saw anger in her eyes, her hands into fist like she would going to hit one of us real soon! She stood up but almost fell down again, because of the pain. Eero caught her up in time so that she wouldn’t fall on the ground again “you better just sit down for a while, by the way what’s your name?” when she sat down she sighted. “I guess you are right, my name is Kathleen but most of my friends all call me Kat”
“Kat?”
“It has been my nickname for a long time, it all started when I almost scratched someone’s eye out because I was totally pissed off. Though it was his own fault.. He shouldn’t ruin my project!” she smiled and she didn’t really look like the girl she was a few minutes ago.
While we were talking with Kathleen we heard someone knocking on the door. Pauli opened the door and came back with two policemen walking behind him. “Hello, good day” they said to us and walked over to Kathleen “so, what happened to you, miss?”
“Kathleen…” she said her back name as well but I missed it because I was staring at her. I admired her that was for sure, sure she was crying and all but that was logical, but the way she was now able to talk about it.. Like there was nothing wrong. “Now please tell me what has happened, why did they attacked you?”
“Well I was in the bar across the street I was, can’t remember the name of the street though… Anyway when I was walking through the street to find some nice hotel for myself those two guys followed me. At first they just called names at me so I didn’t pay attention to them, then they finally caught up with me and they started pushing me around which ended up in beating me up. Luckily for me they arrived and helped me out.” she pointed at us. We smiled when Pauli came back with some beers and water for Eero and Kathleen. The policeman wrote everything down on his little notebook and asked a description of the two guys. Off course we helped her to describe them as best as possible and then the two policemen left.
I let them out of the room, and waked into the bathroom quickly followed by Aki. “Hey Lauri..”
“What?”
“What are we supposed to do with her now? I mean she can’t stay here.. And to be honest.. I’m pretty tired.”
“Well, just say she has got to go home then, I mean we have helped her out right? There is nothing more we can do for her.” Aki nodded and left the bathroom.

I looked in the mirror and looked at myself. My eyes all smudged because sweated at the concert. I looked pale at least that was my conclusion. I sighted which was resulted with a sharp pain in my stomach. The whole time I didn’t felt a thing and now it all came up. The pain didn’t stop and I started to feel sick. “I shouldn’t have taken that beer,” I said softly to myself. I walked to the toilet and threw up, thank god the other were talking loudly so that they wouldn’t hear a thing. I had a disgusting taste in my mouth so I took some water to wash it away though it wasn’t all gone. I looked in the mirror again. It was quite a rare sight seeing me like this, with my face all white and the rest black. I opened the door and walked to the others, though the pain wouldn’t leave anymore.
When I came back everybody looked at me. “Are you okay? You look very pale!” I sat down on the bed and nodded “yeah, I’m fine, don’t worry” Kathleen looked at me, and again I saw those blue eyes shining brightly like she was happy. “I just heard that I’m save by famous rock stars!” I smiled “we aren’t that famous”
“If people are travelling over the world just to give concerts than I think you are pretty famous!” We all laughed except for me but I did my best to smile. My stomach just hurt like hell and all I want right now is to sleep. It was Eero who finally started about it. “Hey, Kathleen.. Don’t you have to go back to your home or whatever you are staying in?” Kathleen’s smile suddenly disappeared again and now I finally saw something back from the girl that we helped out on the street. “Actually I don’t have a place to stay.. I was looking for a cheap hotel but I just couldn’t find any..”
“Can’t you stay elsewhere? Don’t you have got some friends somewhere in the neighbourhood?” Kathleen shook her head “it’s actually a long story but well just say my family is messed up. Since my father left my mother it has been going downhill with us. My mother threw me out of the house saying that it was my fault and the fact that she has got her new lover around and that she wants to be alone. I got some money from her so that I could spend some time in hotels until I found some work though it is hard for me finding one. I’m a designer you know!” I closed my eyes while I listened to her story. It would be a long night. Why does these things have to happen when you don’t feel all right.

hier is hoofdstuk 3, ik hoop dat je het leuk vindt.

Chapter 3:
I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was long brown hair. I was so surprised by seeing a girl laying next me that I lost my balance and landed hard on the ground. “fiets” Aki who was my room mate sat up straight still half sleeping “what the fiets are you doing?” then he saw me lying on the floor with the blankets half over me. He immediately started laughing. “Shut your mouth Aki” I said to him. I was a bit angry because it all worked against me, first I got hit, then sick, and then I wake up next to a girl that I didn’t even know and got laughed out by your best friend. I looked at the girl which was still sleeping in my bed, I was happy that she didn’t woke up because then she could laugh at me to! “What the fiets is she doing here?”
“O that’s right, you fell asleep while we were planning what to do. Anyway we have decided that she could sleep in one of the rooms with us, just for one night. Anyway she fell asleep as well, next to you and you two slept so nice together so we decide to leave you two alone!” Aki showed that evil grin of him which made me a bit angrier.
“So where am I supposed to sleep now?”
“On the ground! Or you have to get next to her again.. Or you can kick he out of the bed.. It’s your decision and if you don’t mind.. I’m going back to sleep!” while he said that he lay down and started snoring again. I looked at him then with my hand I waved above his face. “How can he sleep that quick?” I turned around and looked at the girl. She looked good that was for sure. I picked up the blanket and lay it back on the bed and covered Kathleen with it. Then I sat down on the chair in the corner, with a small light on and just started humming for new songs and lyrics until I fell asleep again.

Softly I heard some people laughing. But then I clearly heard a girls voice laughing so loud that it woke me up. I opened my eyes and looked directly into two blue eyes. “What the..” Kathleen’s face was so close that I could only see her eyes. She immediately looked guilty, and took a few steps back. Behind her I saw and heard Aki lying on the floor laughing out loud. I was confused but when I looked at Kathleen I saw that she was holding a pencil or something like that. “You got to be serious!” I stood up, but almost fell down again. The pain in my stomach wasn’t quite gone. Aki who saw that I almost fell again immediately asked if I was all right. “Yeah, sure.. I guess that punch was a bit harder than I thought it was.” Kathleen looked worried and guilty “you got hit by those guys as well?”
“It’s nothing!”
“Nothing? You are a rock star and some fellows thanks to me hit you.. I’m really sorry..If I can make it up to you?..”
“Hey no worries! I’ve had some beatings before! It’s not that I’ll die or something” I smiled. I couldn’t really understand that girl because of her sudden mood swings. But she was nice and cheerful s well! I tried to stand up again and walked to the bathroom, this time I knew my stomach would hurt so I was prepared. I walked back to the room, grabbed my luggage and got some clean clothes out of it and walked back to the bathroom. I noticed that Aki and Kathleen were still standing on the same places looking silently at me.
In the bathroom I looked in the mirror. With a black pencil there were all kind of weird shapes on my forehead and cheeks and on one cheek there was a little drawing of a man with feathers in his hair. “Really funny” I mumbled. I took of my shirt and noticed that there was a nice bruise on my stomach. “Great! Now I’m blue as well.. What’s next? A cake in the face? And saying happy birthday” I continued undressing myself and took a nice hot shower. While I was taking a shower I thought back at Finland and how much my life has changed the last few years. The pencil or whatever it was it sure was hard to get it off my face.
When I walked back into the room I looked at Kathleen who was talking to Aki Pauli and Eero who had come in the room when I was taking a shower. “Hey, Kathleen, what was that stuff you draw on my face”
“Please call me Kat! It was a marker, but this one is almost waterproof and you can use it as make up. Just a little thing that I use when I’m designing.”
“Designing?”
“Yeah, I design gothic and skate clothes and fitting hairstyles etc. just think of me as a stylist” I smiled and settled myself down on the bed, Pauli had nicked the guitar and was playing a song. “So cat? Don’t you have to go somewhere? I mean you are here for a night already..” Aki looked a bit angry “why do you ask, do you want here to get out or something like that. She is good company and what I’ve seen she’s good at her job”
“Seen? What have she showed you then?”
“Remember the shapes on your face? Those were a experiment for her next creation.” I thought back and now I realised that the shapes were actually quite cool. “Didn’t thought at it.”

When we were about to get down to the dining room Eero grabbed my arm and brought me back in the room where I just stepped out of it. “What are you doing?”
“You know.. Our stylist has left us..”
“So..”
“Can’t you think on your own for a while, that girl is a stylist and we need a stylist. Aki says she is good! You haven’t said that she was bad either. And we already know her, she hasn’t got a job yet!”
“You want her to be our stylist?
“That’s what I’m trying to tell you!” I thought about it. She wasn’t that bad and she was cheerful. Eero looked at me waiting for my decision.
“It’s fine by me!”

chapter 4:
I walked through the hallway of our hotel. Tomorrow we would continue our tour and then we had to decide if we are going to ask Kat along. it all went so perfect before her. A great concert, with a lot of fans. How could Eero even bring this up, we hardly know the girl!.. “are you okay?” I looked up and saw Kathleen looking at me, she looked serious. “I’m fine”
“really?”
“I told you”
“yes, but you look sad, is it because of me?” I smiled at her “no, it’s not you. I was just thinking” there was an awkward silence between us but I was the first one who started talking “so do you have any plans for today?”
“not really… perhaps I should go looking for a place to sleep.. but I doubt that I’m able to pay for it.” I looked to the ground, I didn’t really know what to say. I only knew that I wanted a cigarette so I got myself one. I held up the cigarette box for Kathleen’s nose “want one?” she smiled “thanks” she picked one out and light it up with my lighter. Again there was an awkward silence between us. She looked at me with a guilty look “I guess I should be going now, and leave you guys alone.. you must be really busy.. I mean, the band needs time to practise right?.. thank you for helping me out” she turned around and walked away. I wanted to tell her that she didn’t had to leave because she could stay with us but somehow I didn’t. instead of that I turned around as well and walked back to the guys who were practising in our room.

Aki was the first one who noticed that I came in the room. “hey where did you left Kat?”
“she walked away”
“what?” everybody now looked at me like it was my fault. Pauli who had been playing guitar now even stopped. “I thought we would take her along? didn’t she want to come along?”
“don’t know?” Aki looked confused “what do you mean don’t know, haven’t you asked her?”
“no, I thought you were going to do that” Aki made some weird sounds of stressing. “argg, can’t believe it!” with his finger he tapped on my forehead and shouted “are there any brains inside?” then I heard Pauli saying with a really high voice, pretending like it came out of my head “no, just two flies” we all had to laugh, I laughed because of Pauli’s ridiculously high voice.. and the rest just laughed at me. I got myself a new cigarette. I looked at Aki who seemed to be thinking. “she didn’t had a place to sleep, so I think she went off to find herself a place to sleep.”
“what do you suggest? Strolling down al the hotels in the neighbourhood?”
“it’s a possibility but I was thinking about something else. Hotels are expensive, so she can’t pay for one. And if the brochure is right then the only cheap inn is right around the corner.” I held up the brochure I had found when we checked in. I had brought it along to read it. I saw the eyes of the other lit up “sometimes Lauri..”
“what?”
“nothing, it’s just on one moment you are so dumb as whatever and then suddenly you have all the answers” I smiled “I should get that as a compliment”

while walking on the street looking for that inn I read about we made a lot of fun. Suddenly an other feet hooked mine away which made me almost fall. Behind me I heard Aki laughing. “one – zero for me!”
“just wait! I’ll get you back” the others grinned. “here they go again”
we continued our way. I can’t really say walking because Aki and I were constantly tying to hook each others foot away until we arrived at the inn. “Ha! Four – two for me!” I said laughing. On Aki’s face there was an evil grin “my revenge will be sweet!” I pretended like I was shivering of fear “o no, not the evil Aki!” a punch on my arm was the result of making fun of Aki. Eero shook his head and walked to the counter, while Aki and I were on the background now punching each on the upper arms. And Pauli.. he was just laughing at us.
Eero came back after a few minutes “found her!” we all smiled “so where? What room?”
“she has checked in but left a little while ago, they didn’t know where too..” Pauli now looked at Eero “and then you say… ‘found her?’ while she isn’t here?” I smiled. “guess we will have to come back later. So does anyone has some other idea’s to do for today?” Aki was the first one who responded. “get into a pub and get drunk.. practically the same as yesterday?”
“well, I hope it won’t be the same as yesterday” I said with a sad face while rubbing over the bruise on my stomach. Aki grinned “he got you good didn’t he?… lucky for you super Aki was there to rescue you!”
“I could have made it on my own as well!”
“sure!” Aki walked to the exit followed by the others. When I followed them as well I copied the way Aki walked. Pauli looked back to see if I was following and saw me walking that weird. “what are you doing” I immediately pretended like there was nothing wrong. “nothing!” Pauli laughed and continued walking again.
