Part I. The Deepest Red.

A deepest red the rose
yet pale and withering
the color only deepens
the sadness that it said
How come you are so fragile
and pale and withering?
You are by far the deepest red
of any rose I've seen

The rose kept quiet but it sang
as softly as a breeze:
'I am by far the reddest rose, but envious of me'

How come you are so lonely
my reddest rose of all

Part II. A History of Red.

Now there's a story to be told
about the reddest rose you see

It outgrew all other roses
as far as eyes could see

But across the pond where it stood
the sun shines permanently
and in the water it's reflection
seemed much more divinely

Deemed to gloom and envy
it grew tremendously
but to out do ones reflection
even it could not achieve

So there it stood this lovely rose
as deepest red could be...
yet overwhelmed by sadness
it lost its depth to me

That's how I found the pale red rose
and left it there to be.

Ondanks dat mijn Engels brak is, vind ik ze super. Prachtig geschreven.
De link van de JPG die je er bij hebt gezet doet het bij mij alleen helaas niet...

Nee dat is zo'n 'veranderende' link, was een mooi plaatje van een rode draak die een enkele rode roos vasthield. Lachen
