Ik heb even het bericht van Deloryan gelezen:
Hey everyone,
I believe some of you had already heard that I was working on some new features.
The last 1,5 month I've been working my butt off to create some awesome new features. While I hoped to have finished the jobs by half of June, it, unfortunately, isn't finished yet. Which is why I decided to add in some other things first so you guys can be busy with some other stuff first.
The jobs are pretty complicated since a lot of things are connected to each other. You need to have finished your university course before you can work at a company (or start your own if you have the money for it). After you created a company you will need to keep an eye on the inventory and buy enough supplies so you can be of help for other players. But before you can apply your services on someone's horses, for example, you will have to "need" the service. At the moment you don't actually "need" food for the horses yet, the only thing you do now is clicking the feed button and it will replenish. I need to make sure that the horses actually will need the food before the horse feed producer will be useful. You need to be able to buy the supplies at the wholesaler, etc.
As you can see there is a lot that needs to be considered. And seeing that I only have about 1,5 day a week time for HR, I haven't managed to finish the companies yet.
Nevertheless, I wanted to give you guys some extra features even though the jobs aren't done yet. Thus I took a look at the current horse profiles and given them a little revamp.
GAMEYEARS!
The in-game year is now 16 days instead of 28. Since I didn't think I would alter this in the beginning, the credits that were used were working a bit strange. Rather than saying: horse's age is age + each credit counts for X days, I wrote in the database: current age + days (each credit was stored as +14 days). Which means that most horses that have been aged with credits might be pretty old
Since I changed the years, this also means that the pregnancy is taking less long. I calculated what 11 months would be from 16 days, which is +/- 14,5 days. In order to keep it a bit variable, I added a random number that adds a few days or makes it a bit less long. Meaning that pregnant horses from now on will be pregnant for +/- 14 to 17 days.
Horse profile
1.The column on the left is a bit wider and less high since all the texts are displayed next to each
other now, instead of below.
2. The top banner is a bit less high too which should make it a tad easier when you have a smaller screen to feed horses and such.
3. The genetics tab now has an extra "genetic potential" block. Here you will see the "sport" genes of your horse categorised into 6 different groups.
4.The achievements tab has an extra column named "conformation". You will see a grading chart now where your horse is rated from poor to very good, with on the right side a small overview of its total accomplishments at the conformation shows.
5. If you look at the training tab, that one is completely renewed. You can now choose if you want to train the horse only for a little bit at the time (and thus click more), or choose the highest difficulty and the longest time in order to drain the horse of all energy. The latter means that you need to click less in order to fill the bars. HOWEVER! Please note that the more you will click, the more you are rewarded with user experience. I.e. if you train in the arena for 15 minutes, you'll need to do that 4 times in order to get the same amount in the training bar as when you would select "trail" and train 60 minutes. The person who will click 4 times, will receive more experience than the person that selects the 60-minute training. The experience that both horses receive is the same, however. As of where 4x 15 minutes is equal to 1 training of 60 minutes. Clicking more is only profitable for user experience.
6. You will also notice an affection bar. Which was an idea from a while ago from some players. While it's not fully finished yet, a part of it is working. When you give treats to the horse, you will receive 1% affection and when you are training with your horse, you will receive 3%. Just like the physical fitness bar, the affection bar will also slowly drain each day (only if you've been online in the last 24 hours!). Which means if you train and feed your horse each time you join the game, the affection bar will go up or stay the same. If you enter the game and don't do anything with your horses, the bars will slowly go down.
7. Please note that statistics and conformation info is only available if the player is not a NPC.
8. I have removed the health tab temporarily and added an update tab. That is now the place to go if you want to add your horse to the market or change the horse's name.
User profile
1.You can now add a personal avatar (300x300) and banner (960x300) when you go to your user settings.
2. User profile will display all horse tags next to each other now, instead of only 1 of them (in heat, for sale, etc).
Success and error notifications
In the beginning, I only displayed notifications within the text area's, which gave some problems sometimes. For example when you are at the bottom of a page and the notification would be at the top of the page. You wouldn't be able to see that. I believe that most success/error notifications should show up in the bottom right corner now.
Forum
1. All forum moderators that are added to the forum should be visible now.
2. Users with lowercase usernames should be able to edit their comments now. Please check this to confirm.
Stores
A player suggested that it would be nice if we'd have the ability to buy more items at once (i.e. instead of 1 haybale, be able to buy 10). This is now added in the store.
Bugfixes
1. If you are overcapacity, you will not be able to "direct buy / auto buy" a horse anymore. This shouldn't have been possible from the beginning, but totally slipped my mind [:stuck_out_tongue:]
2. The link to a user profile at a market trade should be working again now.
I'll be checking frequently today to see if I made some mistakes or if I could make some things just a tad more pretty. I already noticed that someone posted a screenshot of the riding school.
