But I do have some bad news to let you all know about…
Back in the spring, many of you helped us watch Ms Genuine Teena (Teena for short) foal her red roan tovero filly… Unfortunitely on June 30th , Teena had a post partum large intestine twist (colic)… we tried everything for her…. But to no avail… she is now buried here on the ranch… sigh Her filly “DBR Genuine Luck” (aka Jenni) is doing well!!! We are all taking shifts staying up all night to make sure that she is fed and gets attention and scratches, and we have a buddy mare next to her, so that she gets some motherly attention (Our son’s riding horse Java just LOVES the babies… THANK GOODNESS!) We plan on keeping Jenni for a nice big APHA and PtHA show horse.
Charm
Charm is a 38 inch chestnut standard Shetland mare and this will be her 3rd foal. Charm was out with my stallion last July and early August, but soon after came down with laminitis unexpectedly, blood tests revealed that she is Insulin Resistant. She had more blood taken in November and a pregnancy test came back negative which I was pleased about, but it was obviously wrong!
With her past 2 foalings she has gone overdue by 3 weeks and 2 weeks and shows very little signs beforehand, ie, both times she hasn't bagged up much until the foal has been born. This time she has bagged up in advance and in the last day her small bags have turned into cow size udders! So she is doing things differently this time, but I really do not know when to expect this foal to enter the world other than it should be soon.
I will be rearranging the cam and lighting a bit later when it gets dark as I haven't used it for a couple of months. Hopefully you'll get to see this foal born, unlike Jinny Spinner in April who waited until nobody was looking and had her foal in a matter of minutes! The only thing I can guarantee is that the foal will be black!

Champagne lady
We have a friend's mare on cam #1. This is Champagne Lady, she was due 7/4 but wasn't progressing. We brought her home to hopefully foal her out as she'll be bred back to a stallion in NC. However, we have to leave again at the end of the month so if she hasn't foaled before we leave she'll go to another friend's house. I hate moving this mare around so much prior to foaling, so we're hoping she'll progress and get it DONE.
She is in a stall with an outside run and during the day she has access outside. We will be putting up an outside cam as well just to keep an eye on her. We hope you can help us watch!

Barbie
We have moved Lay Z Acres Lil Barbie Girl in the spot light now. We bought her without knowing she was pregnant. She looks ready to foal any time now. Her belly is huge, she has milk veins running down her sides and a small bag. I will have her in the stall at night and let her out during the day for exercise.
Thank you to everyone who watches !!!!!!!!!!!! You all are awesome !!!!!!!!!

Nathalie
A late-season surprise! Silver Creek Farms has another mare to foal out, and she's on cam right now. The cam message has Rania's name, but the mare is Natalii. Here's a report on her from Barbara:
"Natalii is getting close and I have her up on the webcam now. We moved her into the stall yesterday. She just has a medium bag, so I think she is still at least a week away, but you know mares. LOL I have to go to a horse show with the stallions next week and will be about 2 hours away. We have barn help that will be watching her, but if you see if anything that concerns you, please let me know. Thanks!!!"
And here's the cam link:

Natalii is doing the rhumba against the wall, as I type. She's another Silver Creek beauty!
Also, Barbara reports that the farm is on high ground and is faring fine in all the Oklahoma flooding.
Grayce
Grayce is on cam @ Goodman & Son's. They think she still has about 2 more weeks to go.

Rosie
I believe Rosie has finally hit her two week mark as last year she started having kicks to her underbelly two weeks before foaling. Her poop has gotten looser and lots more of it. I would be grateful for all the eyes I can get on her. She is the lighter colored mare with darker legs and white mane and tail. Pattie (dark colored) is in the other stall and is due the end of July thru the first part of August. Thank you so much for watching!!!!

Patches
My mare Patches is due to foal sometime between now and the middle of Aug.and is high risk. We are not real sure as to her due date, but she is starting to bag up now. She is in foal to my cremello stallion,Quartermoon Farms Peyote. You can see him on my website.According to her previous owner she had lost her last 2 babies. :'( One was born 2 weeks early and the last was 8-9 weeks early. She currently is on Regumate to help her maintain this preg.I will be taking her off of it the beginning of Aug unless she makes drastic changes beforehand.
I will be moving her to the foaling stall in a couple of days.I have the split screen on my cams but will have it full screen when she foals. She will be on the top right corner. Right now she is on the bottom left. During the day my cams are on the outside pens and I will also be putting her in a separate pen closer to the cams so I can keep a better eye on her when shes out.If there are problems, I may or may not shut the cam down. I will play it by ear.I will try to have someone update you as to what is going on.
Any help to watch her is appreciated. If at anytime my cams go down please, please call me.ANYTIME day or night. My numbers are on the scroll above the cam..Sometimes you will see the screens are still outside and its dark, but that usually means I am out there somewhere and will change it to the inside screens once I get back to the house.
I also will be putting my mare Angel, in with Rebel during the day to be bred. They will be on the bottom right of the outside cams. She has silent heat and we have been trying to breed her but to no avail. She to is on Regumate to suppress heat until next Mon then will be giving her a shot to bring her in hopefully. In the meantime we will be letting them get used to each other and you will probably witness her teaching Rebel some manners. lol And then you may witness some hanky panky going on hopefully the end of next week.Cover your eyes if you don't wish to witness that. hee hee
Thank you and Heather for having such a wonderful place to bring people together.
