Tennessee is testing five on the foaling strips. But I believe the foal needs to drops some. I checked her fluid on the refractometer tonight and it is off the scale but not completely out of sight. She is soft around the tail and everything appears to be fine.
Tinkerbell seems to be coming along but lays down early in the evening. And was laying down out in the pasture early this morning. We were concerned but guess she is trying to figure out what is going on. Being a maiden, this is a new experience for her. Still cannot get any fluid to check her on the test strips.
We will just have to watch and wait on Tennessee at this time.

Mares still just chillin. Dazzle got a clip and all the old dead hair is gone and she is full of shiny silver dapples. She looks pretty and very, very pregnant.
Sarah is the same on the milk tests, they say "not ready". I will keep you posted and we wait and watch!!
I am working on get the outside nursery pasture camera in place ASAP.

Thanks for checking in. We are redoing our barn cams and should have them up no later then May 2nd. They will run during the PM hours from 10 PM -7 AM EST, If the gals get busy sooner or later then 10-7 I will turn on cams sooner or leave them on longer.
Both Magic and Harley are getting closer so hopefully it wont be a months worth of watching them eat, sleep and poop for those interested in seeing them foal.
Magic is Due May 15 and Harley is due May 16 at this point though its anyone guess they are both building a nice size bag.

Takilah is our 13 year old Polish Arabian Bay mare. We bred her to Spotacular Fame (The Color of Fame) and he is Homozygous-(guaranteed color)
We are excited about this foal. Our mare is broke to ride and we are selling her. Her temperment is excellent. She is sound. A very friendly mare that likes people and would make a great trail or 4-H horse. Keep watching as I believe she may go early. She is due May 9th but fully bagged up and very uncomfortable.

I am not sure what is up with Spin, she has been up and down and looking and bitting at her belly.. She is 1 week overdue and I am on pins and needles!!! I have my fingers crossed for a smooth delivery and a healthy foal.. Maybe we are getting close.. I will try to keep everyone updated..

Changes - very flacid around tail head
Udder - huge bag, milk is white and opaque
Milk test - 65 ppm

This is Hope. She is 10 and a special case. We got her about a year ago and she was extremely head shy. She is happy here now, but still cautious of our hands around her head. She is the sweetest horse and we are glad that she seems to have accepted us as her family.
She is 38" and registered WCMHR. She has the tiniest ears and a beautiful face. She is also a gorgeous example of a buskskin.
She is bred to our triple registered, double bred FWF Little Blue Boy grandson.
She is due May 8.

it looks like Praline and Mona-Lisa will be first to foal
Praline's muscles have already released and butt is sunken down,
small udder, but she is a maiden mare so that is normal
the webcams are not running from 9 am to 3 pm German time
as the mares are out in pasture during this time.

Her udder is very firm but still not able to express fluid from it. She may just not let it down for me too. For whatever reason, poor Patch is startled by the flash of my camera every time. I still get the udder shots but she still jumps. I really thought she'd soon realize she's not being hurt by it. That's ok tho. She's a good girl and never acts out-- just jumps.
Anyway, she's very long & relaxed under the tail-- her butt has NO tone to it. I also see a change in her cervix-- looks more relaxed. She's done more rolling than normal tonight so I suspect she's getting that foal into position. I moved Clips & Teddy cuz the two have been fighting quite a bit the last 24hrs (another change!). Would prefer to just move them now & keep everyone safe.
We'll see what she does but she's out of her normal routine a bit tonight. Could be a looooonnnngggg night for me!

Ik heb photoshop, maar normaal kost dat geld nou kun je het ergens downloaden, maar zo ingewikkeld

Vind het ook heeeeeeel erg dat het veulentje van Twinkie het niet gered heeft. Arme Twinkie
