Update Goldie:
What a beautiful day here today! It has been in the high 70s with sunshine. It certainly doesn't seem like mid February....but I'm not complaining at all...I love it just like this.

Goldie's bag has increased slightly tonight and she is testing 3 squares on her milk strips. Her bag does not seem nearly ready yet. Even as large as she is, I would guess we still have some time left before she foals. I'll update you again tomorrow evening.

Classy is almost completely bagged, very soft around the tail, swollen under the tail. With her history she could go any time!

Update Shania (14 feb):
The grey Arabian mare, SWF Shania.. foaled at 4am this morning. She
has a beautiful bay filly. Her sire is the Arabian National Champion
Halter & Performance stallion, "Alada Baskin"..
The mare & filly are owned by Zabrina Krykowski of Spokane,
Washington. Zabrina won the breeding service to this stallion in an
essay contest the the stallion owners had offered last year. The
essay topic was "Your hopes and Horse dreams".... so this little
filly was a winner before she was born...!
We have them on our webcam, so yu can see them there. You can
access our barn webcam by clinking on the "links" page on our message
board.

Update Skip:
Skip is still pg...I still think she will go over. I might be wrong. We will see. Her and Bea will probably go out in the arena again today. Its is so muddy and sloppy here I don't want them slipping and getting hurt. As for me....it will be back to the sewing machine.

Update Bobbi, Cruella, Megan en Ruby:
Bobbi, as you can see, is still hanging in there. White milk and loose. But on the plus side, I don't see any typical signs of her having contractions. Nothing that would tell me tonight could be it. Not that it necessarily means anything. Nothing is typical with this. Again, I will be watching, on the couch. Watching and more importantly listening. You see, Cruella is in the stall adjacent to Bobbi and Cruella is next in line with a due date of 3/1. Cruella is a maiden with no history to fall back on. She has been most uncomfortable and as I lay watching Bobbi at night Cruella gives me fits with her grunting and groaning. As opposed to Bobbi however, I see not much to be alarmed about so far in her udder developement. Actually, Megan, who is due 3/6 has more! Ruby looks right on target as do the rest of them for the time being. Bobbi, Crue and Meg are going to keep me on my toes.
As for Bobbi, for now, so far so good. I'm taking every minute and every hour as a blessing. Let's hope we make day three of the Regumate/Antibiotics regimen. Both will start kicking in.

Update Honey, Twinkie, Twister en Ragdoll:

Honey

Honey is making good progress. Her udder and teats are full and she has small dots of wax. The milk strip test showed her milk one square away from "anytime now". I will start watching her a lot closer now. Last year she waxed and dripped milk for 2 weeks before foaling. The year before she got just a little wax and then foaled. This is the first year I've used the test strips on her, so I really don't know how fast she will go. I will post new updates as needed. If you haven't already, please sign up for our e-mail update list. I will send out a "heads up" when I feel we are close.

11:30 PM - Honey still has a small amount of wax. She has been flipping her tail a lot and seems a little restless. She is grazing on the fresh hay bedding in her stall right now. I will be checking her regularly during the night. She could foal now or she could hold on for a few more days. We'll have to wait and see.

Twinkie

Twinkie hasn't changed much at all. She still has a little bitty udder and no teat development yet. I will keep an eye on her but I think we have awhile to wait for her to foal.

Twister

Twister has a very small udder, too. She doesn't look like she's going to foal soon.

Ragdoll

We have awhile to wait for Ragdoll to even be due. She has more udder development than Twinkie and Twister, but she usually gets a pretty large bag before foaling. It's not at that point
yet.
