As you can see , nothing new. Getting kinda depressing actually. ONly good thing is that the weather is beautiful..

Ultrasound tomorrow on Grace for pregnancy check , and on Belle checking for foal heat ovulation..

Take care everyone. I see we have main foalwatchers tonight so that is good. Will try and figure out who is doing what tomorrow but if you volunteered for tonight go ahead and do it as if you were on the schedule..

Update Fanny, Mari, Pay, Wren & Spirit:
Well. Miss Fanny and I went for a walk....and then Liz (my 9yo) took her for a longer walk while I cleaned her stall. Maybe? Has worked in the past.
Well...351, I certainly would not have guessed this from her! The longest I have had fillies go, is 354 (with Cora who went 372 last year). And it was by the same stallion. So i have not given up hope the FF will arrive.
Maybe we will have ANOTHER St Patricks day foal! Remember Rose from last year?
That little booger cant stay in there forever!

Mari(312~2nd foal), Payadora(301~4th foal), Wren(302~maiden) and Spirit(296~maiden) are waiting int he wings. Of these 4, Pay looks like she will go first, then Mari, Wren and Spirit last

Update Ragdoll & Twinkie:
Ragdoll and Twinkie are bagging up, finally. I can express a little thin white fluid from Ragdoll's udder, but can get nothing from Twinkie's. Twinkie is a maiden, so we generally don't expect the same progress from her that we do from the more experienced mares. Twister has very little udder yet and I can't get any fluid from her at all.

I have the cams back online for your viewing, though I don't think we'll have a mare foal in the next week or so.

Check back every few days for updates.

Update Libby, Abby & Lady:
I wish I could give you something definite. I can't. The truth is, every morning I put out the three fat ladies in the arena while I do their stalls. Let me tell you...I HUSTLE doing those stalls as I worry the entire time someone is going to have that baby in the arena. My, what a show they put on out there. Rolling, kicking at their bellies, rubbing against the walls..butt pushing. So I hustle, muck the stalls out. Refill the water buckets. Rebed the stalls and throw down my hay...and the stinkers... I put them back in their stalls only to have them take a NAP. Yep. Libby and Lady have the tiniest beads of wax. JUST enough so that you scratch your head and say "maybe." Though Abby doesn't have the wax bead...well...by 6:00pm tonight anyhow..her bag is the biggest and most distended of all. All three are like jello behind. Tomorrow is Libby's due date. I wish someone would tell her! Abby's is Monday and Lady's is next Thursday! Surely we would see something soon...or more definite signs. BUT...if there is one thing I have learned...mare's don't have to do ANYTHING by the book. So...we watch and wait. Your guess is as good as mine at this point!

Betty is so ready. No dripping yet, but then she has not done 3 weeks of wax either.... so who knows with her. Nipples do not have the pinched look tonight.

Candy foaled at 1:35 am March 15, 2005 The most gorgeous filly. Right at the moment we are leaning toward Silver Grullo in Color. This filly is just loaded with Dun Factor!

Update Tisha, Angel & Hanna:
Tisha is getting a nice little bag. Doing everything a young maiden mare is subposto be doing
Angel has a nice size bag already and she too is doing everything a maiden mare should be doing at this stage of pregnancy.
"Hanna" has caught up to Candy in bag size and her Vulva area has started to lengthen considerably. Getting more soft in the back end too. She was known with her past owner to go early so we definitely have our eyes watching her too already. As of today her nipples are full and all signs say any time. No wax yet though....

Update Harlequin, Sabrina & Shoshone:
I know for a fact that foaling season is in full swing here. Why? I looked at the dressing table in my bathroom today and where there are normally lotions and perfumes, I now have distilled water, milk strips and plastic cups to collect mare's milk. Surely a new foal can't be far behind. Very Happy.gif

Harli is now only 4 days from her due date and her bag is continuing to increase. This will be her first baby so we are watching her for any slight changes that might tell us things are starting.

Sabrina has not changed in the last few days and she is still testing only 2 on her milk strips. We will just have to wait and see what changes she will make and when she makes them.

I have Shoshone is the barn (she is on cams 5 & 6). She actually does not have a bag at all yet. I talked to her previous owner and she tells me that Shoshone foaled last year at day 328 without a sign of a bag. She was at a foaling facility and they reported one afternoon that they felt she was at least two weeks away from foaling. They called the next morning and said that she had foaled during the night. She is now at day 323 and so I am not going to take any chances. I have her in the barn with a foaling monitor on.

Well friends...the coffee pot is on...the beepers will be going off all during the night...new babies will be coming before long. CupaCoffee.gif
