Eclips WOW! She's really dropped! She looks like her belly is about to drag on the ground!" That about says it all doesn't it? I didn't have my camera but it seems that her teats are now pointing down rather than inward. She definately chose some different places to stand and lay last night. Had my attention for quite a while but never really progressed more than some two-stepping & tail swishing. And so we wait....
Foxy en Rain Good Evening.... Refreshing cam 1 is broke, we will get another camera hooked up tomorrow. Rain has made a big change in her bag today, it is full and tight, she has stayed to herself most of the day today. Still no milk to test her. We are watching her very close. Foxy has made no changes. Thanks for watching.
Megan WELL, IT'S NOT LIKE I HAVEN'T FOALED OUT OVER 30 MINI FOALS BEFORE, I HAVE WATCHED MARES PULL ALL KINDS OF STUNTS AND THIS ONE IS THE MASTERPIECE. AFTER KICKING HER BELLY SO HARD SHE ACCTUALLY FELL ON ONE HIP, AFTER CHEWING HER SIDES, PACING, BUTT PUSHING,EAR PINNING, TAIL FLAGGING, NO FOAL YET IT GOT TIME FOR FEEDING AND MISS CHOW HOUND WAS JUST CONCENTRATING ON THE FEED BOWL. sad.gif
I SEE THE BABY KICKING SO KNOW IT IS ALIVE, I SEE THE MUSCLE BAND ON HER SIDES TIGHTEN IN CONTRACTIONS AND THEN EVERYTHING CEASES. WE RETESTED HER MILK . SHE IS PUSHING HER BUTT SO HARD AGAINST THE WALL RIGHT NOW AS I AM WRITING THAT SHE IS ALMOST IN A SITTING POSITION. WHAT CAN I SAY????? IF SHE DOESN'T TRY TO FOAL WE ARE GOING TO PUT HER IN THE RUN OUTSIDE FOR A WHILE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. THE MILK STRIP SAYS THAT ONCE 5 SQUARES TURN RED 90% OF MARES WILL FOAL WITHIN 12 HOURS AND IF THEY TURN IN LESS THAN A MINUTE 6 HOURS. HERS TURNED 5 SQUARES IN 15 SECONDS 7 DAYS AGO!!!!(AND EVERY DAY SINCE, INCLUDING THIS MORNING) HER REAR AND TAIL ARE SO LOOSE IT FEELS LIKE THE BONE IS GONE FROM HER TAIL HEAD AND IT IS CONNECTED BY SKIN ONLY. THERE IS NOOOO RESISTANCE IN HER TAIL. NOW YOU KNOW ALL THE SIGNS WE LOOK FOR AND NOW YOU ALSO KNOW ALL THOSE TEST ARE ONLY ENTERTAINMENT FOR OWNERS WHILE THEY WAIT FOR THE FOAL STORK TO MAKE A LANDING. OH, AND HER COLOSTRUM TEST IS OFF THE SCALE TOO.
SORRY TO ALERT YOU TO ANOTHER FALSE ALARM BUT WE WERE UP AT 4AM AND OUT IN THE COLD SO WE REALLY FELT LIKE WE WOULD HAVE A BOUNCING BABY ON THE GROUND BY NOW. I HAVE NEVER HAD A HEALTHY BABY BORN DURING CONVENIENT DAYTIME HOURS SO I KIND OF GIVE UP BY THIS TIME OF DAY. SHE MAY BREAK THAT RULE, WHO KNOWS.
This morning I found that her bag is full and the teats are filling. No wax or milk dripping. I was able to express some thin white milk so I tested it. According to the results we still have at least a couple of days before we need to start watching her closely. Her butt is soft and she showed no ability to clamp her tail down when I held it up. She seems uncomfortable at times, drawing up a back leg or biting at her side. She is shedding very heavily and is rubbing herself all along the stall walls, the hay feeder, her buckets and anything else she can find to try to stop the itching. She has a good appetite.
Update 7:00 PM: I tested Honey's milk again. Still not ready, though it is moving closer.
Twister
Still not much of a bag to report. Her butt is firm and she has complete control over her tail. She has a good appetite. I don't look for anything from Twister for awhile yet. She's shown no signs of any discomfort, isn't shedding much and seems very comfortable.
Twinkie
Her udder is slowly increasing in size. There is no wax or dripping. Remember, she's a maiden and that might not be a reliable sign for us to watch for. Last night I saw her rubbing her butt on the stall wall a couple of times. She has moments when she draws up a back leg like she's feeling some discomfort. Her butt is still firm and she has control over her tail. I'm keeping an eye on her simply because she is a maiden and I don't know what to expect from her.
Barbie
Barbie is still not showing any signs that she is pregnant. I'll check her daily, but I have a feeling she'll be going home soon. I am making progress with taming her. I managed to feed her a treat by hand while she was tied...and then again after I let her loose. She still wants to run from me when I try to catch her up in the stall. Maybe the treats will help with that...lol.
Ragdoll
The big sweetie is doing just fine. I didn't notice any changes in her. She still has a small bag with no teat engorgement. She isn't shedding heavily, shows no discomfort and has a good appetite. It'll be awhile for her, too.
Heel erg leuk! Veel bijgekletst met een hoop mensen en mooie pony's gezien En ook mijn dekplannen gewijzigd aangezien een oude hengst weer terug is uit Engeland. Macy gaat weer een broertje of zusje van Fleur knutselen dit jaar
