mulligans helaas gemist, was nachtelijk aan het afwassen

Triple K geen paard of veulen meer te bekennen, maar wel een haarscherp kleurbeeld van 3 poezen en een konijn??! :S wel schattig, hahaha.

Nu staan de paardjes er trouwens weer op. Vrouw + kind kwamen net weer even bij veulen checken, die ligt in een soort van zacht mandje op kleedjes oid. Lekker toegedekt in iedergeval.
Hoop echt dat het beestje het red.

HI everyone, well, mike had a long day, so did I but I was gone for a while to a dental checkup, at least that turned out great, ha, but this little guy is so cute, blue blue eyes,and perlino in color, we now have him on heat, a dog warmer and a heating pad on low, I would love to have it over him, but know it would just come off, not sure how this will work, if he wiggles to the corner or to the front and then his neck will flip back due to lack of room, I dont know, I was going to bring him in, but we were afraid cashmere would not like it and maybe even not claim him, had that happen once, we will continue to try to go out every two hours or so, take turns, mike just went out,we try to get about 20 ccs down him and we are giving him dex morning and night, a steriod for his lungs, we do know how to tube him directily to his stomach if he quits sucking off the syringe, but so far, we havent had too, the vet taught us how to tube to get milk directly to stomach, but we will do that as last resort, he wants to try to stand, just too weak, but maybe if we can keep him quiet for a few days with his meds, he will improve and steadily get stronger, we felt he was chiilly, as any cold floor will do , they have alot of nice clean straw, but as they squirm they get to the bottom of it, so at least this way, he cant get himself off the heat,his mom is being so unbelievable for a first time mare, such a sweetheart, that mare really has my heart, I dont think this foal is real premie but somewhat, he doesnt have alot of hair on his back legs or hips, so if we can keep him going a few days, I know if lungs arent quite developed, they can live a few days and then they can die, so lets hope he is old enough to live, but just want you to know, we are doing all we can for him, and for his mom, trying to make it less stressful on mom too, I know we are getting run down, I thought about just staying in the stall all night, but maybe this tub will work, and we dont have make 100 trips out there, it is so cold and miserable out, but say a prayer for him, he is a beautiful tiny little guy, trying to get better, thanks everyone,ps, K figured she had to stay tonight in case we needed help, she said Grandma, I feel so sorry for you that you have to worry and not get much sleep, but we are trying to keep him alive , arent we grandma, she said, what a trooper, tami

HI, we have not had the vet out, but in contact with him , he is 80 miles away, but he knows we can tube him if necessary, he has taught us, and he knows we have heat on him to maintain body heat, and as long as we are getting about 20ccs in him every few hours, he said we could wait until 3 hours, but we will try for every two, we will do what we can, thanks all, we dont want to take the foal alone to the vet, we did that once cuz it was so cold out and we had him in the pickup, the mare woudl not claim that foal even tho had only been a little while, the barn is now at 60 degrees and then he is on heating pads, and with the dex we will see how it goes for now, thanks for caring and your prayers, tami and mike and of course, Kadence

Maybe this tub will work staat er... een soort mandje denk ik, met een wamtedeken erin, zodat hij warm blijft, en niet op de koude grond kan komen...

Als ik het goed begrepen had op MS, is hij verhuisd en naar een gewoon hok gegaan. Hij kan nu eenmaal helaas niet zijn leven in de incubator slijten, enkel omdat hij zoveel fans heeft ;-)
