Ik heb al een mailtje gestuurd voor de streaming cam, kwam er net pas achter dat hij uit is. Ik was zo moe dat ik niet meer achter de pc heb gezeten maar vanaf bed en later vanaf de bank Copper in de gaten heb gehouden. En aangezien de laptop tegenwoordig na 5 minuten spontaan denkt dat ie uit mag gaan, had ik geen cams aan...

Update Shoshone & Jordan:
Jordan is about the same. Her bag is large and she is still testing 4.5 on her milk strips. She does not seem to have made any changes in the last few days and we are hoping that she is in a holding pattern and will carry the foal for awhile longer.

Shoshone is still enjoying a nice bed of soft hay and a big stall at night but has shown no changes. Maybe she is just enjoying being pampered.

Update Gabby:
Well, it looks like we're getting closer to seeing Gabby's foal. She had an extremely restless early morning (3:30 a.m. EST) and she appears to be physically ready. She's testing 4.5 squares on the milk test strips so we've got her in on cams 3 and 4 and we're watching and waiting.

Update Shanza:
The mare on cam 1 & 2 is Lucky Four Shanza Blue. We just call her Shanza. She's a beauty and one of my favorites (not supposed to have favorites, but can't help it.) She's a doll except when it's time to eat - then if you're slow she likes to rear up and put her feet over the door. Not a good thing when you're 11 months pregnant!!! Oh well....gotta love her.

She ran with a stallion from 5/1/04 to 7/1/04 (according to stallion report) However, she foaled a beautiful filly on 5/10/04 which means that she would have had her foal heat around 5/17/04. We have based her due date on that. I know that some mares won't breed on a foal heat, but Shanza is a docile mare and I don't think she's fight off the stallion. So our "guesstimated" due date was 4/9/05 which puts her at 337 days today. Exactly the same number of days as J&A Farms "Spin". Maybe they're trying to race - who knows!

Shanza is bred to a beautiful bay stallion named SRF Aristocrat. His babies have all been outstanding and we're so excited to have him as her foal's sire. Shanza has always thrown black and white pintos, but she's always been bred to a black and white stallion. It will be very interesting to see what color this foal is. And I'm guessing it's another filly. We'll see!!!

Update Careless:
Yes, we are still counting but good news is we were able to get a few drops of fluid but not enough for a milk strip test - this was the first time Careless has ever let us even try......fluid was very sticky! As we all know this can change very fast or at it's on pace...but whatever the change we are right here with her.....she has been very uncomfortable but we all know that feeling and can only wait it out with her.

Another Update: Peanut
Our little sorrel mare is starting a bag and is very heavy in the belly - will put her on the cam as soon as Careless gives up her foaling stall - it is the only stall with a cam right now (know what I want for Christmas).

So yes, things are busy here waiting, watching and hoping!! Will continue to update with new news
