Thanks to ALL of you for the phone calls, well wishes and prayers. I apologize to those that were trying to call my cell phone, I cannot thank you enough for your efforts. Also to those that left messages on our answering machine about Lady being in labor.

I had a call from a local friend while I was at work, she stayed on the phone with me and was talking me through the events of the birth while I was on the road trying to get home as fast as I could. Therefore I did not want to take the other calls coming in at the time. I was afraid I would lose my call with Deanna of the progression of things. So please accept my apologies.

The vet just left, Lady is a little bruised but otherwise fine. He checked the placenta and the cause of death of the filly was the placenta was pinched thus causing loss of blood supply during the birth. At first I thought the placenta was twisted that caused it, he said no it was not twisted enough to cause the death.

I felt so guilty for not being here but the vet told if I had been here it would have happened anyway and there was nothing I could have done to save the filly even if I was standing right there. Thanks again to Heather, Sue, Deanna (on the phone) and ALL of you for staying in touch with me and each other via the message board.

The camera will be shut down for now. There is nothing to see at this point. We will let Lady rest and get her strength back to heal.

Thanks again for wonderful support the Mare Stare family has provided.

ik heb de geboorte helaas gezien. Was mijn eerste geboorte die ik zag via de cam. Helaas geen goede,.

Erg jammer van Lady haar veulen dat het zo moest aflopen! Ach gut

Ik hoop dat ze snel weer een beetje op de been is!

Jeetje. Aan de ene kant misschien maar beter dat het al dood was bij de geboorte dan achteraf nog eens. Klinkt natuurlijk cru. Heel vervelend, zielig veulentje en merrie. Ach gut

Gelukkig gaat het goed met Lady.En op zich voor haar wel fijn om te weten dat ze het niet had kunnen voorkomen.Nu hoeft ze zich in elk geval niet schuldig te voelen.

En Kyra gaat het nu dus spannend maken.Ik ben benieuwd

Er was wel een veulen bij Nina, en de cam is nu weer uit, ik denk dat ze gewoon een slechte verbinding hebben, maar ik heb het veulen gezien..

Ik zag zo gauw geen veulentje,maar hij deed het maar heel even bij mij.Dus misschien heb ik hem net gemist.Gelukkig is het goed gegaan

Hi, ben ik weer. Doei!

Ik kwam eerder vandaag op een rot moment binnen. Net toen het mis ging bij Lady. Erg sneu..

Als jullie het goed vinden staar ik ook af en toe mee. Wow!

Ik heb de afgelopen jaren zelf drie veulens gefokt en daarvoor veel ervaring opgedaan bij een fokker waar ik voor werkte.
Als jullie nieuwsgierig zijn wie er mee staart, het meeste staat in m'n profiel en anders kan je me alles vragen.

Ik weet nog niet precies hoe alles werkt hier dus tik me maar op de vingers als ik een domme opmerking maak. Ik ben Blond
