Ja, veulen seizoen is nu echt weer lekker van start.

De lijst met duedates is af, heb er vanmiddag een paar uur aan gezeten. Nicole heeft PB en gaat hem wsl plaatsen als ze online is.

Good Morning Everyone ....... cold morning here around 23 degrees!!! No changes in Amy from last night to this morning. We did have some friends stop by last night and they said she looked really close. They have a mare due on the 13th, and they said Amy looks alot closer than she does I can't wait for this baby!! So excited about this cross!! I'll update later this afternoon after I feed. Weather permitting, we'll probably let the girls out to run around for a bit. Have a great day, and happy watching

Good morning everyone,

We have progress this morning! Yep her bag is really building finally, so that baby is starting to move back enough to put pressure so that her bag starts to fill up. We like seeing progress, still a ways off before she is even close to being ready but progress is good!
Mia is agitated this morning because Tom is sleeping in and she wants feed. I would go out and feed but getting work done this morning so she can wait. It did snow during the night not much just enough to cover all the ice and make it really slick to walk around outside.

Apachina at Glenhill Farm due 1/16

The chickens are definitely confused by all of the lights on in the barn at night. It is so much brighter than normal because I am trying to keep the dreaded rainbow effect away.

The chickens will be very happy when China foals and the barn can be dark again.
She is the same this morning. I will get another milk sample this afternoon. Hopefully progress...

I'm so happy she gets to come home so soon. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet but she is doing good so far.

If you guys could keep an eye on her for me for the first couple days that would be great. Please let me know when you see her sleeping, eating, chewing cud, drinking water, ect. Also let me know if she seems to be in distress or pain. There shouldn't be anything coming out her backside, so if you see anything coming from there it wouldn't be good. She is a bit upset right now because she can hear everyone's kids and she doesn't have any of her own.

She has a coat on because most of her left side is shaved from the surgery. She has a bandage over the incision site and stitches. She shouldn't be playing with that side or scratching it.

Thank You everyone for your Prayers and well wishes. It means a lot to both my mother and I.

Mag ik hier ook een update plaatsen?
Bij freelands gypsy horses staan er ook weer twee merrie's op de cams. Rosa en Jordan.
Update zaterdag:
Hi Everyone,

Well, we are waiting for the snow and ice that the weather man says is coming tomorrow. I keep telling myself that this is south Arkansas and the weather forecast can (and does) change.

Rosa's bag has really increased in size and Jordan's is filling in a little more each day. We will give them their pre foaling vaccinations on Monday. We always vaccinate the mares about 30 days prior to their due dates. This gives the babies good immunity through the colostrom.

Here is a picture of Rosa that i got today. You can see that she is definitely getting wide.

Savannah (1/1) @ Double Dot Ranch and Donkey Resort
Savannah had the equivalent of a sorority party last night, she hauled the bin with her Sudan out in the lounging area, hay and stuff strewn everywhere, most untidy jennet! She seemed like she slept flat out a lot and down and sleeping on her nose a lot, very uncomfortable looking. She made quite a mess last night and this morning she is as mean as a snake, kicky, cranky but bagging up in different places (like the small side) and carrying way low. Her "woohoo" is changing too. If I were ever to think tonight is the night, then this is the night but what do I know?

Sandy might be spending alot of time in the bottom right hand corner, I turned her heater on yesterday. She seems to be hanging out right underneath it!! It is suppose to be very cold here this week, so I thought she would appreciate it. She's bagging a little more each day. Not sure she will kid by the 12th but hopefully not too far after!

Sun 1/9 - Day 327: Yes, the cam was down for a bit today...I was at a horseshow and discovered it when I returned. It's up again! Was thinking of changing the name to Bunny Stare...but not as catchy as Mare Stare. And there she sits...

Okay everyone keep your fingers crossed!!

I justed ordered a new DVR Splitter and one camera for Mia's foaling stall. We have figured out the DVR is having major issues as some of the connections or viewing clear but others are not especially Mia's stall which is normally very clear.

If all goes right the change of camera and the DVR will help improve our whole system. We like to make improvements each year just not right when we have one close to foaling.

If all goes right we should have before the 18th. Which if Mia stays on current history should have up and running before she has the baby.

Rosebud due 1/25 @ Stormy Acres
Nothing new to report, she is about the same as last night. I did put the alert on her but I am still thinking she will go closer to her due date.

When I went to bed I heard thunder in the back ground and told my husband I may have to turn off the computer and next thing I knew it was morning! We got 1 1/2 inches of rain and from what my son told me it was a very nosiey storm. He told me my horse really raised a ruckus, and I always hear them when they get loud! No storms for tomight, maybe tomorrow evening in front of the cold front

Zoe is covered in mud from rolling outside. No physical changes of note yet.

The lights will be extended to 11pm later this week... and then left on overnight as she gets closer and closer...

The girls tend to fight less with the lights off at night so we are going to wait for as long as possible to keep them on overnight...

Fanali, due 1/26

Fanali is a big, beautiful girl who is very special to me. She is tall for an Arab at over 15 hands, homozygous for black and she has a small star and 3 feet with just a little bit of white. She had one foal for her previous owner, but had been pasture bred and foaled, so we have no info about how long she carried or how quickly her bag developed. Fanali will eventually be my endurance horse, but for now, she is carrying my only purebred foal by Shadow. I am really looking forward to this baby, and will most likely end up keeping this one. She will be 315 days on January 1st and really doesn't have much bag yet. She and KZ are both not used to being locked in stalls, so until they look imminent, these 2 will probably be allowed to wander in and out of their stall and the aisle.

Razz was shipped to her beau, Sir Spattson, with Mia back on February 1, 2010 and was in heat and bred from 2/6 through 2/13. She was ultrasounded and confirmed to have a conceptus that measured much smaller than it should (21 days in size, despite her being 31 days along), but she also had one small cyst and the embryo was sitting right next to the cyst. Several weeks later Razz started to act receptive again.... Razz was re-bred 4/3 - 4/7. She came home on 5/2 and was ultrasounded on 5/17 as pregnant with an embryo that was 55+ days! She was re-checked again on 9/13 and everything was A-OK, but at that point there is no way of 'dating' the fetus.

Razz en Mia due either 1/20 or 3/13

Razz has had 1 foal with us - a black sabino filly that we call Mimi, who was born at 325 days gestation. Razz only started bagging up about 3 weeks before she foaled that time, but that was an early September foal and sometimes summer and winter foaling can sometimes make a big difference to a mare. Razz is already starting to bag, which makes me wonder if the first embryo maybe got a slow start because of the cyst... Basically, Razz could be due anywhere from about January 5th (325 days from the first date) to March 13 (340 days from the second date).
