De laatste twee geplaatsen komen uit Australie en Nieuw Zeeland. Midden in het voorjaar dus, lekker veulenweer

Yep, over to the stall now, and Gypsy is allowed to come and go until its dark. Then i will lock her in. Right now she wants to pace a bit, so will let her, but in about another 15mins she will just have to make do with her stall.

She has been very uncomfortable all day, lots of wax going on, and all is looking ready to go. So hopefully she doesnt drag it on too long, as she will feel much better once the baby arrives.

I stayed up most of the night lastnight watching her, so i wont be able to keep my eyes open too late tonight, so i hope she foals early. If not, i will let you all know when i am going to bed and any calls/alerts are always welcome.

How's she doing ? I have been on the road picking up grandkids in ABQ. Here for the weekend to play with their baby minis. Shy did have wax on her teat today. I guess that's supposed to be a good sign with these mini mares. I have never seen it with my donkeys. It was yellow and thick. She looks like she's having one of those, just trot on out and I will lay here and wait for you type of nights. Baby has been doing some kicking. Let's go squirt, mom is feeling heavy and sore, I think she has about had enough.

I tried to get a pic for you all. Don't think you can see the wax tho..sorry. her poor little 1/2 bag is much bigger than before tho.

Gypsys udder is slightly fuller this afternoon, still waxed up, and inside her hoohoo she is a darker red. She hasnt had a particularly restless day. She's been doing some butt rubbing and belly biting/kicking, but no more than she has the last few days. Hope she foals soon!!

Shawna here...I sure hope everyone is having a great sunday! Happy Halloween! As some of you saw we had a midnight visitor come to the ranch....the long awaited farrier showed up and took care of Angel's feet. He decided not to put the pads on her because she seems to be doing just fine without them but he did make some changes to those hooves of hers and hopefully that will help keep her as comfortable as possible. All is pretty quiet here today at the Triple K...Thanks again so much for keeping a good eye on our dear Angel. It's comforting to know she's got some devoted and great people out there watching out for her! that's all for now! Have a great Day! Take care and God Bless!

Yes, Gypsy is back in for the night. She's in a little earlier than normal, as we are having a very wet rainy day here. So i wanted her to have a chance to dry before it got dark.

Gypsys udder is hard and full now, and her milk is the colour of skim milk, so hopefully we are in business!

En daarbij moet ze het nog even binnenhouden. Ik heb in de marestarepoule gezegd dat ze morgen om 5 am hun tijd gaat bevallen.

Updates:

Chiquita and Diamond Lil due in November @ Assphalt Acres

Please welcome back Assphalt acres to our Mare Stare Stable.

Chiquita (dark brown) and Diamond Lil (sorrel) are under the cam. They may be due late October/early November, but not sure.

Chiquita is a very nice dark brown jenny that we think will deliver a foal in the fall of 2010.

Diamond Lil is bred to Quater Moon Ticker Tape for an October/November, 2010 foal.

Berichtje eigenaar:
We purchased both of these girls already bred. We picked up Diamond Lil from Texas last November 19th. We saw her being chased by Ticker Tape then, but he was chasing everyone. She has not been with another jack since then and she does look pregnant to me. I keep waiting for her to start bagging up, but as of yet, there is not much there. She is a maiden jenny.

We brought Chiquita home on Labor Day of this year. The breeder said she "might" be bred. She sure looks bred to me. The sire is Short Assets Juan. Chiquita is 10 years old, but I have no idea of her birthing habits. She does not have much of a bag yet either.

Hopefully, we will get two babies before it gets really cold. The latest we have had a foal at Assphalt Acres is November 5th, but I am sure it will be later than that with these two.

I appreciate your helping us watch, and I will try to keep the connection going all the time. Steve and I both work full time, and when it disconnects, there is not much we can do until we get home. Thanks, again!

I was late to let her out today. She wasnt happy with me.
She cant possibly go another night without foaling. Her udder is about to explode, she has leaked colustrum down her legs and on her udder. So relaxed and loosened up in the rear end. PLEASE Gypsy, you need to let that baby out now! lol
She is out in her paddock for the day, she doesnt like to be away from the other horses during the day, so i have her sharing a fenceline with them and she is happy. If she looks like foaling through the day, i will be bringing her up into the stable again.
