We will see ... maybe she is fooling us, but has been urinating (or attempting to urinate) frequently, pacing her stall, and standing roached backed. No sooner do I post it and she resumes the position.

Wow - I cannot believe she still hasn't had it! I think she is trying to set a record for holding the foal!! With those measurements she has got to go any minute!! Should I be worried? Need to go for now but will be back! I'll keep you updated. Thanks ladies! : )

Alle info van vandaag:

Now on cam is Rosie.. She is an older mare and I have her here since 2007.. Last year she lost her foal at 308 days, no signs at all that she was going to give birth and then sudden there was a death filly...
Right now she looks to be really close, she has a nice bag and doesn't look happy anymore with her huge belly...

In the past she had only 1 life foal, the other 3 all where still born and we don't know why, also her formal owner doesn't know.. She's a sneaky mare that delivers very unexpected...
So I hope you will all help me to watch her... I almost haven't slept for the last few nights because of the 3 ladies on the birth alarm.. Since this morning we only have 2 on the alarm since Grace gave birth last night... Smiley
I will try to stay awake as much as possible, but may it happen that you see no one in the stall when she starts, please contact me!

I have the feeling she is really close.. On the other hand this behaviour is the same as the last 2 nights...
Really don't know what to think of her..
Just know what she's sneaky since we completely missed her birth last year.. And her formal owner also missed 2 out of 3 births..
I really really hope she will have a nice foal on her side this year, she was so devastated about the death foal last year, that is so hard to see when
a mare is grieving.. (how do I spell that?? LOL)

I'm here watching her... She's definately not feeling comfortable tonight..

It's a strange mare.. Wish I could tell you more about her behaviour.. Most of my mares that are resting like this in the evening aren't going to give birth the first couple of hours, and I just don't trust Rosie in this..
Right now she seems to taking a nap..

I'll go to the stall in a few minutes and clean it up a little and probably give her some straw since she's on shavings right now..

It's almost 11 at night here..

She's looking at her belly a lot, more then usual...

maybe I just have to wait cleaning her stall.. She was up and down again.. Breathing fast... Looking at her belly a lot..

I've been out for a while, think I have disturbed her rest a Little, but at least she's on straw now and her stall is clean..
This way we can also see if she passes a lot of extra manure..
The manure I just cleaned was soft and flat....
Her bag isn't hard but it's a nice one... grin5 No wax or milk dripping.. But last year she didn't have anything and she delivered...
I'll be around for some time, can't sleep anyway knowing one of the mares can start having a baby...

Ik heb Dynamic potverdorie gemist vorige week. Dus ik ga nu maar even wakker blijven voor Rosie denk ik. Vind haar ook wel onrustig.
