Update Augusta & Shalem: Gussie was down by the gate asking to come in early and sure enough the baby is flipping into position right now. Stand by for hopefully daytime birth! Not this minute but looks like today or tonight! ~~~~~~~ Well what you guys missed was while we were bedding up Gussie's stall she started with the baby dropping. She was kicking and pacing, very uncomfortable. we were watching her, just being held in the aisle, and you could see the baby move. She got very agitated. Well as soon as we put her back she's now as calm and quiet as can be. She's still not waxed and milk has gone clear again, although very sticky, (was opaque this morning) so lord knows... I hope this baby gets in gear soon. I think Gussie will go as soon as its ready, she's very ready for it to come out! So I'm going to try and doze on the couch for a bit. Mare is washed, all is ready to go, just waiting for a foal now.... Everyone go get your dinners, suppers and teas; looks like we have a little while more to go.
OH BTW if you haven't figured out by now if you right click on the camera image a box will come up where you can increase the size of the picture so you can watch it larger. Forgot to mention that.
Welcome everyone. This is the nice part about these boards, the fun communication!
Shalem seems to be holding steady no major changes again today. She had a restless night last night though.
Oh another thing. The hand signals to say what gender the baby is are thumbs up sign for a girl and the touchdown sign for a boy. (seemed fitting!)
