*MORGAN* Stillwaters @ Morability Ranch Due 5-5

Morgan mare JMF Stillwaters is a 11 year old maiden mare, she was pastured with my 27 year old Arabian stallion Ea Gai Shaliadak ( Tonka ) from Jan 21 2006 to May 24th 2006 so I am using her last exposure date to Tonka to estimate her due date at 340 days gestation. I am watching her very close from this poiint on since I am not sure of her exact breeding date and she could very well foal earlier than May 5th time frame . I will be putting her in paddock during day and stall her in the evening under the cam around 6 pm. Stills has not started to bag but milk viens are starting to really show. Everyone think blue I am really wanting this one to be a colt but most importantly I hope whatever gender it is that it is born healthy and the birth goes easy and uneventful for Stillwaters. I will keep this updated as Stills progresses closer to foaling time.

Squiggles has been progressing towards her due date of 4/27 and today her bag seems bigger and tighter. She has a lot of tail action going on, so I guess I will be watching more closely and begin my sleepless nights. I will keep you updated best I can here or you can look for updates on my board.

I am back from the doctor. Rain had us thinking she would foal there for a little while then she got up and started eating again. She is still testing 5 squares, she is very uncomfortable and did not want me messing with her much. I did try to make her tail look not so bushy but there she is rubbing again She can just stand in the stall and enjoy her . Thanks for keeping a eye on her while i was away.

Hello, I have Snappy, an 11 year old miniature mare who is at day 335, on cam. She looks ready (I know famous last words.) As far as I know she is a maiden mare, I have no foaling history on her. She is really a boring mare to watch, mostly just stands around eating hay. Thank you for helping keep an eye on her.

Hello again to everyone. Okay.... back to Queenie, who's been evicted from the foaling stall for the last week since Lass started looking like she was winning the race.
Tomorrow night Queenie will be back in the foaling stall, but for tonight she can be viewed in the stall across the aisle. She and Lass are busy making ugly faces at each other right now, but hopefully will settle down soon.
But on to the important details: Not waxing currently, but teat holes seem to be getting larger (is that possible? Is it a sign?), and is still jello-jiggly. Teats are also starting to point outward instead of just down. She is doing what Lass was doing prior to foaling, which is sweating on her chest area, although not as much as Lass was. I'm not holding my breath thinking it's tonight, but I did turn on an extra light over her stall , and we raised the camera up so both stalls would be viewable.

Queenie @ Avalanch Friesians - due 5/4
Actually Queenie is a Georgian Grande. I.e. Clydesdale and Saddlebred cross. She's in foal to Hedzer who is a Friesian Ster Stallion.
To give everyone an update on this. Queenie was a maiden mare last year and had trouble during her birth. Prince (her foal) was rather large. The owner had fallen asleep after many relentless nights of foal watch and it was a caller that called her and woke her up when they saw Queenie go into labor. Had that not happened, it was likely the foal would have not survived.

I have 2 girls who are so ready to give birth, but neither one will go first Special is bagged up, tight, she's fussy, but did let me touch her udder tonight....wouldn't let me check to see how her milk was looking, that made her mad.
Mindy is so ready it is not funny. Anytime now, we will have a new kid....they are both waiting on the other now, You go first, No you go first....Maybe I ought to move Mindy, she's on the opposite side of Special, only a wall between them, sure wished I could hear their conversations.
Well, guess we all sit back watch and wait....Everyone have a great night, take care, stay warm, safe and dry....More news and updates later

Glad you were in the barn with us.

poor Keyla had a bit of a rough delivery. It was a tight squeeze and the foal had a leg over it's head. Keyla and I worked together and got that baby out.

It's a FILLY with a huge blaze... I have NO idea where that came from. She's a pretty spunky little girl. Keyla wasnt too sure about her at first but is doing fine now. This filly wasnt going to take NO for an answer.

Yes, we did turn her upside down to try and release some fluid. She was pretty wiggly!

Thank you for the good thoughts! We appreciate them all. I'll post pics soon.

**DIXIE** COLT! (seven acres)
Net geboren en gelukkig alles goed gegaan, eigenaresse had het nog niet verwacht en was in slaap gevallen, gelukkig is ze gebeld!

Dixie finally foaled at a week overdue. She didn't appear to be ready with her milk fluid now her bag being jersey cow as it normally is. Crazy dang year!

Barbara, I was sleeping soundly when you called. I've been so busy & missing you guys as well!

This little boy is different than Dix & Mat's previous foals. He appears to be buckskin pinto, very pretty baby!
