After consulting with our vet, yesterday, we decided to start Pin Up on Regumate to help her hold her pregnancy.

She is not due until the end of April (based on 345 days gestation) but has a very significant bag already! Very disturbing! She has been known to foal dangerously early, so we are hoping to (IF she is trying to foal too early) stablilize her pregnancy and hold it atleast until around April 7th which will be past the 320 day mark. Hopefully, getting us out of the danger zone of 'premature'.

Please, keep Pin Up in your thoughts and prayers! She is a very special mare! We are blessed to have found her, been able to purchase her and to now have had her leg hold up like it has! She suffered a terrible leg injury, followed by several surgeries to save her as a yearling. Her leg is ugly and she carries herself differently than a completely sound horse, but she's adapted well and even enjoys running and playing with her babies. Although, it scares me to watch her do that! WHOA PIN UP WHOA!

We are hoping and praying for a filly out of her this time...Her filly will be a future replacement for momma, for when the times comes that we have to let Pin Up cross the rainbow bridge. When that time will be, we don't know. We just watch her carefully and assess her each day/week/month/year. We are going to attempt embryo transfer this year, if everything works out, in hopes of lengthening Pin Up's time here with us.
Let someone else pack the kiddo around so she doesn't have to. But, she's not the easiest one to flush and transfer on...sooooo, we'll see.

Hi Everyone, Kadie is doing better everyday and has not turned back since last Wednesday. Today is it very nice out and is the 50's with a very slight breeze so Tea and Kadie are outside for most of the day.

So far Kadie is being really good, plays some but then just walks around or lays down and rest. I will try and get some new pics of Kadie this weekend as this nice weather is to continue.

Kadie will continue to be on her meds every 6 hours until the 29th, that is when she will be evaluated to see if she can go off the meds. Tea will also be ultrasounded to see if she is in foal.

Felicita has some impaction going on. She was tubed at 6am on 3/19. She was a little painful this am getting up and down. So please help me watch her and if you see anything unusual please call me! (330)447-1878. I will be in and out of the barn today but extra eyes would be appreciated!
