Update Lacey & Bree: Lacey still has wax, now on both sides, but it is sticky and yellow....HUM, she really wants to drag this out don't she!!
Bree is starting to look like she might be thinking about something, but she is slow at the progress.
Karen and Marty are doing good, he might be too use to humans, he likes to run up and jump up on you for you to pet him now....Karen is a great Mom and he is going to make a handsome little man!!
Update Roar: well its been a hard 3 days after kat had her filly. She was having a hard time taking to motherhood. So i have been with her and fill teaching her how to be a mom for 3 days. Yes i have had no sleep i could not let her out of my sight hands for saftey of the baby. The good news is she has got it down now and has been sent to my vets for breeding on her foal heat. Kat and the filly are doing great now..
Now onto roar. she is moving along so all eyes back on her.
Update Augusta & Shalem: Well Shalem is making some rapid changes so who knows who will go first? I still think both may wait until Sunday, Monday or more. Just wait they will both decide to go on one night.....getting close enough to start with daily updates so stay tuned.
Update Frosy: Did you see the wax Frosty has tonight on her udder? I got another good picture of it. For those of you that have had a hard time seeing it you sure can now. Amy and Deb were here again today after a short nap and a change of clothes. I guess they didn’t fall asleep until 4 am this morning. What troopers. Had I known, I could have slept better last night! I can’t imagine Frosty holding out through the weekend with this much wax.
Update Oreo: Yes, she is closer....BUT..is she close enough? Not in my opinion. Her teats are just starting to fill out more. She's lost another horse's worth of hair and she is loose behind. Still, her colostrum is honey like and she just isn't uncomfortable ENOUGH to foal tonight. She is due the 12th so of course we HAVE to be getting closer. I will be watching her from my spot on the couch. If anything looks suspicious I'll be sure to report it to you all. My advice? Get a good night's sleep.
Update Amy & Robin: The girls got to play outside today and rolled and ran and bucked up a storm!!! With any wishfull thinking, maybe they moved those babies into the "ready" position They were a little "fresh" when they came back in tonight, but quickly settled down into their nitely routine.
We will keep a close watch on both the girls. It seems foaling is in the air, and we hope it's blowing this way
Missy had a beautiful and very tall 40" filly at around 10:30 pm. Both are doing awesome.
Tom and I gave Missy time to try and get that filly out but she is such a big girls was not happening so after almost 25 mintues we steped in. The filly is very strong and wanted to get right up so we held her down until the cord could empty out.
We will post more later, but we had 636 viewers watching the foaling.
