Citaat:Hey Guys-As you can see, Halo and Nita are home. She checked out ok, but had her knee reflushed and antibiotics put in the joint capsule. No wonder she is sore. It looks like she is having a inflammatory issues and after being stuck, flushed 6x (in 10 days), who can blame the girl if her leg is sore.
Nita is not pregnant, just a nice 19 year old mare who has had babies and orphans who happens to be a very easy keeper. She is mostly kind to Halo and teaching her how to be a horse.
Again, thanks for all the well wishes and kind words. We are hopeful that Halo will continue to improve.

Citaat:Update on Sjoukje and her foal. The stall is empty but please do not be alarmed. She did not pass her placenta so we had to take her into the vet. We are supposed to pick her and baby up at 3:00 if placenta has passed. The colt is doing really good still just trying to figure out those legs of his. The milking of Sjoukje is going well and the bottle feeding of the colt. He has quite an appeiate.
Lenny and Meredith did one fantastic job. There were many very tense moments early this morning. They worked together like a team and I am forever grateful to have been blessed with Lenny. Meredith learned so much last night and I am grateful to her also. Without the two of them things would not have turned out for the good.
Thank you everyone for the prayers, and love that we felt. We will have them back up on cam as soon as they come home. So just keep checking. We here at Rein Dancer Farms are going to get a few hours of much needed rest. We still have several long days ahead of us. We will also be giving updates on their progress.

Citaat:Nothing new with the mare for today. She is in a slightly better mood today. I was able to manipulate her udder a little bit this morning. Can't express anything as of yet. Baby is active. Mare enjoyed some turnout time this afternoon.
Hubby and I are going in to town to do some business and have dinner with friends, so we'll be gone from around 4 CST until mid-evening. We won't be more than 15 minutes away. My gut says the mare isn't quite ready, though again she's not gotten this far with a pregnancy before, so can't say whether or not she may be a sneaky type.
Citaat:Still no foal, I watch and I watch and I'll watch and I'll watch their will be a beautiful filly soon.
Citaat:Ellie's vet is going to be stopping by for a visit a little later just to make sure everything is OK - and baby is OK..and pat my hand and say "there, there - she'll have it when she's ready"...LOL

Citaat:Awesome i feel very welcomed already! Gypsy is not my only horse so i know what you mean by lays potato chips lol... I have 7 and one on the way! But we are far from breeders we just ride for pleasure and i plan to do dressage with the foal i am making here someday. I have that many horses because everyone in my home rides Hubby and kids included and i have one spare horse. Gypsy actually belongs to my step daughter Heather but i bred her for a foal for me with her permission of course not that she is complaining she is as excited about this foal as i am.
Citaat:Vet was here this morning, said all looked good.
Said he thinks maybe with in the next week by looking at her tail head, but also said shes maiden sooooooooo you never know!
She still doesnt have a bag, but he wasnt concerned about that either.
Im thinking that will be our biggest predictor, that she will bag up and then go go go ! So prayers for minus the cookies!
She can have the cookies after she gives us that baby!
Ha Ha Ha... took me a minute to figure out the "Prayers for milk.." Very cute. Lord knows she's been getting enough cookies!
Citaat:UPDATE - 2/20 - 12:30am
Well folks, Annie is getting closer.
She has small little beads of wax tonight!
This is the first time she has shown any signs of being close.
She seems very peaceful at the moment, so I am going to shut my eyes & kick back in the recliner for a bit.
If you should see anything that looks like she is going in to labor, please don't hesitiate to call.

Annie has even more wax this morning, so her milk has arrived!
We are keeping a close eye on her 24/7 now, as I think she is ready to go soon!
Citaat:Rain is really concaving in her flanks. all of the hollows are becoming very distinct...her utter is still moving forward. I am getting excited with the progress I see.
Citaat:Wax!
Citaat:All is well! She wanted to be with her buddies! What a nut ball!!! Thanks so much! She just got her hooves done I guess she is showing off!!!! I know much is not going on but thanks for watching! It means a lot!!! Thanks!!!!!
http://www.marestare.com/cam.php?alias=westernstableCitaat:Snowy's udder is growing fast, but she always does and this goes on for a long time! snowy's belly is still growing and the foal is very active. She is doing fine and feeling very well. We hope Pinky's foal will come soon so the cam can go to Snowy. Untill than I keep an update like this.

Citaat:Miss Pinky Update day 313!!
Pinky's udder is growing fast and you can even see her nipples area (how do you call this? In dutch it's: tepelhof) comming out....But also her vulva is getting more relaxed and her belly is changing shape...mmmmm I guess she will not make it until her due date.
I will keep a close look on her, but she will go at least one more week. So no immediate hurries necessary!
For now... and before...
from Diana and Pinky
Citaat:Morning Bag Report:
Symphony's bag is as tight as a tick, but her nipples (for you gwen) aren't down - they're buried somewhere in the bag. Symphony is so squirrely, I don't know if I'll be able to test her milk. We might just have to watch her very closely...
Classy, Boots and Adorable's bags are all identical...oh my...
Citaat:Had some calls of concern about Deb's Cam 2 being off..she is outside for the day, and will be back about 4:00 PM this afternoon. Iris has another buddy in with her. Thanks for all the concern and for watching my girls!!!
Citaat:Hello !! I had no idea there was even a post about our Girl ! Symphony is doing just fine ! She would like to cook her baby alittle bit longer apparently.
During the day her stall is left open into her paddock so she can come and go as she pleases at night she is locked in. She actually spends allot of time sleeping in
her stall in the day no sign that she wants to let it out to see me though. She is a mare with her own agenda thats for sure ! I'm hoping its soon , mom is tired!
Citaat:Thanks everyone for watching Shasta. Sometimes the main computer shuts down on its own to prevent unwanted stuff. Keep calling if you see it down. Shasta is showing all the signs but she is holding out on us. She is broken down in the rear, has colostrum, poop is mushy, she is rigid, belly kicking and rubbing, Sometimes she is antsy, other times calm as she can be. She has gotten so she only likes to be touched in certain places, sides are very tender. We are just waiting and waiting. We keep saying she can't hold out much longer but she is showing us that she can, lol! Thanks to all, Beth
Citaat:Well... Again no big changes on her bag but her belly is dropped and her vulva is loose.
As Dynamic didn't have a full bag last year, I don't fully trust her as the rest of her body is changing faster than her bag.
So I put on the alarm for the night. That will let me sleep better
Now hoping she will not sleep flat out all night
I still think she is way off but last year I thought she needed at least 2 more weeks and the day before she foaled I went to a horse show all day because I really didn't think she was that close...
Citaat:Ugh - never again.....it's not worth the way we feel to have us unload this hay. Shannon and I both have allegies, so tonight we're buggered up - between being sore (yes whine whine) our sinuses and lungs are full. We'll be sleeping alot through the night I think...so kinda hoping the girls will actually wait another night.
Shandy is pretty quiet - not showing alot of signs, but her bag is pretty large...giving lots of milk and it's still as sticky as it was.
Unforgettable shows the mot signs of being uncomfy. She finally gave us one drop of milk and it was sticky...so she's progressing.
Tonja...is just discomfort on hooves....she's soooo heavy and so tired. She actually acts like she's closer than the other two at times. LOL but she won't be 300 days until the 22nd (if my memory serves me correctly). While she can go that early, it's not something normal for her.
We have Queen Vicki coming up soon, along with Shannon's big mare Dakota (Marcos mom)...that'll be interesting. I think she's always foaled on her own so she may not like assistance...and she's a big un. LOL
Thanks to all who have helped keep an eye on the girlies...especially this morning. Going to use my nettie pot now to try to feel better.
HUGS
Citaat:Well today is the due date I had written down but so far no baby yet. The winds here have been brutal and hard for the last 24 hours. The barn doors have been slamming and that has been shaking the camera. When I checked her this afternoon, she was the same as yesterday. Bag full, very warm but feels the same to me. I do hope she waits to have this baby until the warmth comes back and the wind dies down. We have a propane heater in the barn just in case but I really don't want to have to use it.
I watched her all last night. At 2:30 she just walked out of her stall and disappeared!! So get up, get dressed and go to the barn to discover the gate latch was open.....I guess I must have left it off.... Nothing like lack of sleep to make you do stupid stuff!!! LOL!
