Dit is de reaktie welke ik terugkreeg van Silvercreek, veulen lag inderdaad echt goed verkeerd zeg...gelukkig alles toch goedgekomen!!

Thanks!! Our new addition is a filly named Larona. She is by our Landadel stallion - Landwerder (Silver Lining) out of a Carolus mare. The foal was presented upside down with legs crossed and one hoof stuck under her head. She is doing very well know as you can see on the webcam. We are very excited about her. Thanks for watching and sharing the event with us!

Goh, hebben die mensen even alle geluk van de wereld dat ze voldoende hulp hadden.
Het schijnt toch nog niet helemaal goed te gaan met het veulentje.
Dit stond er op het messageboard:

There was meconium staining on the bag, indicating she had been stressed at birth. She had not really stood up on her own, had to be lifted up and would then stay up and get around good. She had diarrhea start in the afternoon and they treated her with Kaopectate, Biosponge, and Probios along with 2 cc of Gentocin orally, but it did not slow it down. She started breathing heavily and looking dehydrated, so they called the Vet out. They started her on fluids and she is already feeling a bit better.

Ja....hard duimen dat het allemaal goed komt...ik kan mij voorstellen dat het veulentje bij de geboorte veel stress heeft gehad.

Lijkt mij niet echt lekker om zo ter wereld te komen

Nu maar hopen dat mams ook iets meer om haar kindje gaat geven ze is er nog niet echt in geïnteresseerd

Peaches is driving me crazy this week. Wanted to give you an update but just don't know what to tell you. Monday she had a large bag looked like she was ready to pop. Wednesday it had disappeared like she was not even in foal. Friday it was back again and today its not gone but is very loose. What is she doing?? Other wise she is very mushey around the tail and looks like she has droped into position. Wish I could tell you more but she just has me baffeled. Last year she just walked in her stall in the evening at dinner time and layed down and foaled. Never giving us a sign at all. Hope she does better this year. LOL

Lies has her tail braided. A woman braided it a few moments ago. Let's hope she might be getting close But I hope it won't be like Octavias colt, too early and a bit weak. I hope Lies has a filly for the owners!

Lace is ook wel een stuk onrustiger aan het worden, dus wie weet denkt ze er toch eens over om haar veulen ter wereld te gaan zetten binnenkort

ben ook weer terug van een weekend Drenthe
Hoop veulens daar in de omgeving zien rond huppelen
Echt zo schattig

Maar na een aantal pag. teruggelezen te hebben nog geen veulie bij Marije. Had echt gedacht dat ik Cooper zou missen voordat ik wegging
Gelukkig niet!! Hoop wel dat ze gauw weer beter is

Lies is ook een leuke merrie zeg!!!

Ik hoop ook dat Coppertje nu snel een veulen krijgt, dan kan ze ook de juiste medicijnen krijgen voor haar hoeven!
