Vlekje Update

I can't take it much longer! This mare is showing almost every sign in the book and still holding on to the wee one.
Wobbly bits (i.e. the vulva) is almost dragging over the ground, with a nice raw meat color and mucho capillary vessels, so it is screaming all systems go. Got good milk, cloudy white and VERY sweet, but no dripping/waxing. She has been rubbing her derriere on the water bucket, and has been trying to push her favorite wall over. She will actually drop in the hocks and almost sit down up against the wall. Apparently it equalizes the pressure she feels against her pelvis a bit, which shows me she is really working on getting Junior in shooting position.
Tonight she was a little clammy under her mane, and she has pretty decent veins showing on shoulders and gaskins.

To my horror, an animal communicator, who apparently has been watching Vlekje on the cam had said to a friend of mine that she has had a talk with Vlekje. Vlekje alledgedly said that she still has about a week to go. You gotta be kidding me! One more week of pulling all-nighters like this will certainly make me certifiably insane!!

Anyway, this was the heads up from Colorado, where we currently are having a pretty nasty storm with a possibility of a foot of snow. Let's see if Vlekje wants to reward us with a foal during the storm. By the way, got a fortune cookie last night with my chinese dinner, and it said "You are almost there". I read it aloud to Vlekje and she gave me the hoof. Now, we all know that a horse's hoof is really their middle finger. Need I translate?

Just went there again this morning and the cam is back up and Boo has WAX. They are hopeful she will foal tonight! I've been hearing that for weeks. But I believe this is the first wax she has had so it looks good. Hopefully cam will stay up! Keep fingers crossed.
