Ach gus, wat erg van Socks!! Echt zo aandoenlijk als je Baby zo bij haar veulen ziet staan, maar achteraf gezien was het alleen maar triest... Wat een nare dingen allemaal.

Copper is weer niet blij

Lag ze net ook?Dat is 2 keer in een kwartier dan.

Copper staat weer lekker aan haar hooi. Het lijkt wel of de rolband iets verschoven is, maar dat kan mijn perceptie zijn hoor Verward

ik heb niet veel gemist zie ik (en wou dat ik over het verhaal van Socks gelezen had). Ik zie wel een low alert voor Seven Acres, maar dat was vals alarm

Naja, de merrie ligt in ieder geval te slapen, keek net achterom (naar dr buik?) en slaapt nu weer rustig verder.
Zoveel mis je niet Knipoog

Update Copper:
Uier is vannacht flink voller geworden. Daardoor lijken de spenen weer wat naar elkaar toe gedrukt. Zodra die weer gaan zakken, komen we in de buurt denk ik...
Banden los, vulva heel wisselend en de buikvorm lijkt anders.

Update Tennessee & Tinkerbell:
Last night Tennessee looked like she had dropped to me. But she still has no bag and is not soft around the tail. I checked back on her last two foals and from the days of gestation I figure she will foal sometime in the next ten days.

Tinkerbell is developing a bag and seems to be doing fine.

Update Lexie & Jewel:
Lexie seems to be positioning the foal, and not knowing what is going on. Remember she is maiden & 335 days today. I don't look for her to go for another 5 days or so, but you just never know on maidens.

Jewel is settling back in. I had to laugh at her & Lexie today. Lexie would charge her saying.. move out of my space! Jewel would pick up her head from grazing and say.. whatever!!! and head back down to eat and never move. Lexie was a little miffed about it and came up to the barn to pout.

Update Shoshone & Henna:
I still have not seen any changes in Shoshone so I am now convinced that she was bred at a later date than we originally thought. Storm was the only stallion on the farm with her so we have no doubt about who the sire is...just the dates that are mixed up. I will continue to bring her in at night and put the foaling monitor on her because last year she did not have a bag before foaling and showed no real indications that she was close. No much I can do except wait and see when she foals.

I have Henna in the stall next to Shoshone. She is a maiden mare and is starting to form a small bag. She is not due until May 24th. I have been bringing her in just so that she will get used to being in the foaling stall and she can also keep Shoshone company in the barn at night. I will not be putting a foaling monitor on Henna until I feel that she is much closer.

Update Careless:
Now update - bag is very full and tight, teats are swollen, biting sides alot and definitely uncomfy!!

I do feel we are in the final stages and VERY CLOSE!!

We are at day 344 today....will continue to watch closely but also try to get a nap myself sometime in all of this so don't hesitate to call if you see her foaling and we are not in with her.
