Alleen was dat low alert door "camkijkers" in werking gesteld, en uit de berichten op marestare begreep ik dat de eigenaar daar niet zo blij mee was, die geeft zelf wel een low af als ze denkt dat tijd voor een low of high is.

Special Two Bar 4 year old maiden mare
Long story....please read all the way through. I'm posting this so everyone will know about our girl.
Our gal Special was born April 2003 amid a freak snow storm. We had 2 of them that year, her 1/2 sister George was born in the middle of the first one.
When she was born, I was alone, half asleep in the barn. Brody was quick to deliver as always, but....Special was not moving, not breathing, and I couldn't make her breath, no matter how much I rubbed or shook her, she looked to be stillborn. Scared out of my wits, I took off for the house....a very long 500 ft in 20 degree temperatures, forgot my scarf in the barn, so by the time I got to the house I couldn't even breath to speak....I just wheezed and grunted.....Finally I got air to tell Robby "Brody Foaled....but the baby is in trouble" Running back out the door, not looking back to see if he was with me or not....we made it, matter of fact, Robby beat me to the barn. By the time we got in there, Ms Brody with her magic done had her new arrival breathing and moving around on the floor. A heavy sigh went over me, along with a few chills......Heaters were turned on, to warm the little bug up....After a few minutes she was trying to stand....Robby's words were "She's a Special one" Well, the name stuck to her like glue....She was named Special Two Bar.
She grew up pretty much like any other foal here, spoiled from head to hoof. When she was a yearling her life would change....We had an intruder who broke through several fences and farms, this stallion was beyond mean....this was a demon stallion. After attacking our stud, leaving him cut up and bleeding he got into the weanling's pen....we had Lily and Grayce in there weaning them from their dams. We had put Special and Georgia in there too keep them company....The stallion went after the weanling's, not the yearling's, but the yearling girls were going to have none of his goofy stuff around those babies....Ms Special ran the weanling's into the barn, but she turned wrong, taking a double barrel shot to the head. The stallion took her to the ground, After several attempts to get him into the round pen, My nephew finally lured him in as I shut the gates.....we had to drag Special into the barn and lock the doors down. After several vet visits to our gal, it was determined that she would probably have some damage to her eyes....Right now, the vet thinks she can see glimmers of light and shadows.... She has a very keen sense of smell, and she follows her dam, Brody, around the fields with no trouble at all. We will need all the eyes we can on this girl when she foals.
She was not aimed to ever be bred....Shiloh had gotten into the girls lot when he broke out, we had seen him after one of them, but we never seen him near Special. I wasn't sure she was bred till this past fall. We had a blood test run that came back positive on her, with the date that Shiloh was in her pen, we have calculated her due date around the end of March. Now, Shiloh was out 3 other times, so her due date may not be exactly right. But with the changes our girl is making, I'm pretty sure that the due date is pretty close to where it should be.
Special is a 4 year old red dun breeding stock. She has a wide blaze, no other white markings. Except in the top of her tail she has white hairs through out it.
We are praying for a safe delivery and a healthy foal out of this little one....I done have a barn name for it if it is a filly....I'll post more on that one later.
Special is the 1/2 sister to our Beloved Lacey girl. This will be a tense time for me. She will be watched like a hawk.
