[Barncam] Mare stare in 2005

Een pasgeboren veulentje met een dekentje op?? is het daar zo verschrikkelijk koud dan.
Als ik zo naar de merrie kijk, die staat zo mooi glad in het haar.
Het lijkt overigens idd, dat het veulen r.v naar een stelt voetje nijgt. Meestal trekt dit binnen 24 uur, ook door het eigen gewicht van het veulen wel bij en anders zal de VA morgen wel een corigerend spalkje aan leggen voor een paar dagen. Het ziet er iig niet extreem uit.

Well we milk tested Midnight for the first time this evening. She
has shown milky wax on both tit's today and they are large, firm and
very warm. She Milk tested at 60% today so definately could go
either way. But the wax has not turned yellow and sticky as of yet.
What has changed is Fashion she has been very excited all day and
keeps calling to Midnight even thought she can see her right next
door. Your not able to see it but there is a large window with
rails in the opening so that both mares can see each other. We felt
this would help to comfort the maiden mares as they get closer to
foaling. I think Fashion is noticing more of a change in Midnight
as Fashion is at least a couple weeks off.
We did notice that Fashion had a lot of drainage down her back end
so we washed her and while doing that cleaned her tit's. Fashion
wasn't sure about me going back but Tom has been working with her so
he did the cleaning. We like to work with the mares and not against
as they are getting close. They do know there boundries and no need
for any of us to get excited. She seemed to enjoy getting her tit's
cleaned. They still have a lot of filling to do but she is really
pushed out and is relaxing.
We also washed Midnight since we had the solution with us. She
seemed to enjoy having her backend cleaned. So from working with
both mares they are both very uncomfortable but only they know when
the event will happen.
We will be watching Midnight this evening as she can change quickly
when she starts to get closer. Fashion we don't have a clue but as
you might have noticed neither mare has laid down and relaxed today
which is not normal for these two. Last year Fashion was very quiet
when Midnight was foaling but as soon as she hear that baby she was
very excited. I have a feeling she is going to want Midnight's not
realizing she has one arriving herself very soon.
If anything happens we will post a notice hear as that will be all
the time I will have. I will let the rest of you notify anyone you
know who wants to watch that Midnight is getting close when the time
happens.
