Ik vond het bij Mits wel vrij vlot eraf Aniek... zeker vergeleken met dit van Lucy.
Maar ik kan me voorstellen dat het een eeuwigheid duurt als je wacht

over die nageboorte maak ik me geen zorgen...dat mag een aantal uren duren (geloof max. 6 uur) maar ik heb meer zorg om het nog instabiele veulen.....

Het veulen loopt en drinkt daar maak ik me niet zo'n zorgen om eigenlijk...

Moeders is denk ik wat benauwd voor de nageboorte die er wat achteraan zeult.
Veulen heeft iig al gedronken

Hij heeft wel een partij stelten zeg... hij is wel grappig! Die stapel hooi doet hem ook geen goed om te lopen

Bij SevenAcres verwachten ze ook dat Lilli eerdaags gaat bevallen.

Maggie schiet ook maar niet op, trouwens..... geloof dat vandaag pas de dag was. Ze is nu wel weer aardig aan de wandel

Update Lucy en hengstveulen:
Here is what happened - Lucy & son

water broke, and you all know I feel before they start pushing.. Hoof.. upside down... front leg, find other hoof.. where is head? Shoot 12 cc Banamine into her. Call Dr Doug... on way.. call Dwight.. no answer.

Get Lucy up, turn and move her, let her go down.... hoof .. hoof .. yep still upside down.. top of head... dang those are ears.

Up.. walk her outside hoping she will go down, nope.. drop line and reach in.. follow head down, find nose, start moving and getting right way. Walk Lucy yelling for Dwight as I hear lawn mower or something going.. called him again. Reach in, move head some more as Lucy walking in front of me headed for her stall. Now Sac is ripped as I am moving head and trying to turn colt with Lucy Loose. Walk her back up Driveway so I can follow her back down.. Dwight on the run over here. I guess I looked pretty funny following Lucy back down the driveway with arms up inside her... but he knew could be big trouble.

Okay with sac ripped we do not have a lot of time. Lucy would not go down out on the lawn to help us turn the baby, so Dwight starts pulling and moving moving head also. I could at least hold Lucy still so that helped.

Baby finally fllipped after he was 1/2 way out. Alive, breathing, but how much fluid had hit the lungs while we were getting him out? Cord ripped so have to tie it as pumping lots of blood. Let Lucy loose to do this.. and she goes into the stall.. Hey Lucy .. come back here!

Getting baby going and Doug pulled in... We did a good job Baby trying to get up.. so we did real good...

Will probably need to give Lucy some Oxy here in a bit. Probably will take banamine too.

How big is that baby? Well about boob high on me.... so HUGE... like last year, but faster onto his legs. Well this one baked 42 days longer than last years too.

Just glad baby is alive, and Lucy will be fine too. Probably some bruising, but that is minor to what could have happened if she had been home alone.

Char knew something was up, and she is home too....

Okay . .Eleanor.. if your going tonight.. I hope you did not watch Lucy too close!
