Good Morning Everyone!!
Well the girls did not grace us with a new addition to give attention too last night. But hey each day we are just that much closer.

We have started to get a lot of calls about the girls so thought I should post there patterns.

All of our girls love to sleep laying out with feet stretched out many times during the day. They can do this sometimes up to an hour or more. If this happens they are just resting comfortably and getting off there feet for a while.

Both Missy and Midnight seem to stick like a magnet next to that back wall. One reason for this is there is a large opening with fence railing between it so the two girls can see each other. You might have also noticed in the past five days that they are spending more time next to the wall closest to the camera especially Midnight. She distances herself from Missy as she gets closer to foaling.

A few signs to watch for which will tell us they are getting close. A lot of pacing back and forth or circling there stall. Now they do this also during feeding time so don't get too excited around 5:00 & 4:30 during feeding they are just hungery.

They will begin pawing in the bedding acting like they are building a nest. They will do a lot of kicking at there belly, biting at there belly, laying down and getting right back up. The difference is they are not comforable, first stage of labor. Which means there water braking will happen at some point during that evening or early morning. This is from past history on these two mares.

Midnight was dripping milk all night and continues to get more and more relaxed in back. Missy bag is also changing but no sign of wax on her as of yet. Midnight seems to build and drop of a lot of wax these days. We have decided her leakers are getting weak with being 18, at least that is what we give her a bad time about.

When straw goes into these two stalls, they will be in labor and won't be long until we see the new additions.

Until then we just wait and watch as they prepare to deliver the precious cargo.

Also Tom and I both work away from home, but are close to cell phones when we are away. I also monitor the girls while I am away just like you are, this is the biggest reason we have the webcam. If it looks like there activity is increasing I will be leaving from work right away and heading home. Our breeder also watches the girls while we are traveling too and from work and has our cell number just incase we need to hurry up a little more.

So no worries we will do everything we can to be at home when the mares foal. We have seen each of our foals arrive over the years and don't plan on missing these two.

wel i don't think she will go much longer i got her all ready and she is alone now with no one to bother her for the next 6 hours or so.her bag is so engorged she did not want to move to much last nite i think it may be why she did not lay down its so big she is walking kinda spraddled.i let her take herself for a walk to help with swellin while i got evrything done in there.she is really tired and way over it so lets cross are fingers..the only good news is the vet said 6 to 24 hrs and that was at 10:00 last nite so she's got5 1/2 hrs of daylight and 9 hrs till the 24 hrs is up.so one way or another it should be soon..again please remember that after foaling it will be a bit crazy in there .please do not worry its pretty routine for the foals to have trouble standin and nursin ..i will not leave there side..i will be out there and so will half the free nation if problems should arise..so please do not call cause it just ties up my phone and i need the lines free for vet or whoever.leave any concerns or well wishes on the boards and i will read and get back to everyone as soon as i can..so lets all pray for safe and happy HEALTHY foaling..come on Belle..thanks to everyone and there patience.i don't know how i could have gotten thru the last few days without all of you...

Rey was een vals alarm, iemand of het systeem had high alert af laten gaan, staat onder haar cam te lezen. Maar ze denken dat het niet lang meer duurt.
