But I have to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone for all your prayers and encouragement! Hugs My helper was my friend Gary that lives just 3 miles from me, and I woke him (I think) with my frantic phone call that I had a hip-locked baby and needed someone strong to help! Gary is a retired rancher from South Dakota, and one of those rare, wonderful people that you know will help when you need it!
The baby was black, minimal sabino filly. She had one hind foot tucked up against her abdomen which makes it difficult enough to start with, but Misfer was pushing so hard that the hip of the baby sort of shifted and got locked against Misfer's pelvis. I was able to rotate the hip finally and push the foot back enough to finally get the baby out. Unfortunately, during the time that she was locked in, there was no room for her to breathe and so we lost her. Boo Hoo
Misfer will never be bred again. Instead, she has a wonderful future with a family that has several little girls who will spoil Misfer rotten and ride her all over creation. She will teach them to be wonderful horse owners, without scaring them or making their parents ever have a moment of doubt about their safety. Misfer has been the most wonderful, tolerant, dependable and lovable trail horse you could ever ask for - so this will be perfect for her!
Marie, from Mercury Moon, has Misfer's last filly - Night Blooming Jazmyn - and we still have her grandson Sailor here, so her influence will still be in our program without Misfer ever having to be risked again...
Thank you again, and your help watching Misfer today is appreciated. I worry that she might get herself stuck with that pinched nerve. My vet has already called to check on her, and will come back out if we need him. He will be back out again tomorrow to check on her as well. I have to say that I think I have the GREATEST vet!

I spoke with the vet again, and he said that at long as Misfer is stable enough not to fall, then it will be good for her to get outside and move around... I will try to get stalls clean to have the girls back in tonight, but not sure if I have the strength left right now... will put cam 1 on switching between stall and outside again.
Also, will move this thread back to the elements board later this afternoon...
Thanks again everyone!
