To whomever called..yes there was a spot in her box and yes Jen you also did see a spot in her box...it did not smell like pee but was a wet spot...when I took the comforter off and saw the blanket on the bottom you could see yellow on it..so I'm washing the comforter now and will wash the blanket next. I has a foal blanket and some of Kiki's sheets and towels in the wash so I had to wait on them to finish.

If anyone has any old towels, blankets or comforters they don't want anymore..send them my way. I don't have that many anymore and I can see I'm gonna be washing a lot of loads of wash.

So it sees she just leaked a bit of pee from the pups pushing on her bladder. I do have that feeling we have a lot more than 6 in there...but Dr. Chip on felt 5 and ultrasound was 6..so where were the rest hiding???!!!

Nelly has small amounts of wax on each teat. My dad is going to check on her mid-morning and my mom will be out after lunch to keep an eye on her. Call me if anyone sees anything suspicous.

Rosie will be the only one on cam for a little while, with Cam 2 left on inside and Cam 1 outside most of the time. In an effort to minimize the bandwidth for Heather, I will ask that people hit the "stop" button on the stream for the cam pointing to the empty pen/stall. If we move her, all you have to do is hit "play" to start it again. That's faster than having to re-open the page completely, but saves bandwidth.

Thanks for the info. I didn't see it so I now know she rests a little, maybe she does this several times during the night. Her legs are still okay but it would be better if she rests laying down some more.

Update for 2/3/9...

Cams were down a little while ago- we were working on the internet connection with the phone company and they suggested we disconnect during the process! Hopefully, they have corrected the "jerkiness" of the feed. The ice/snow we have had has really done a number on our connections! I was so pleased to see that they appear to be streaming without too much freezing up... Now, everything is ready for Ms Ella to do her song and dance.

She has really made no changes- she is beginning to lose some body condition (most likely due to the overdue-ness of this foal). She is 356 days today for anyone who is keeping score. She is taking several hours to finish her grain and picking at her hay.

Her belly (as many of you have noticed) has really changed to a more correct looking shape so we are really hopeful that colt/filly is cooperating with his mother.

lisakaye-as for her coat, it's not naturally like that that's for sure. lmao. normally the hairs on her coat are kind of long, even in summer. it takes a lot to condition to the point it's at now. but i do believe in beauty from the inside out, sooo i researched the crap out of her feed .
she is on Seminole feed brand(all i feed) http://www.seminolefeed.com/ProductShee ... 12plus.htm Gold Chance 12+(she will get bumped up to 14 when baby is born), http://www.omegafields.com/productDetai ... _flax_seed Omega horse shine(this is the best supplement i've come across for flax seed... it lasts a year on the shelf, packed with omegas, has biotin, etc. we live in fla and sand has never been a problem for me!, she gets plenty of orchard/timothy grass hay, and a scoop of soaked alfalfa cubes at night. despite all of this she really is not an expensive horse to feed(when shes not pregnant lol), b/c she gains weight off nothing. on top of thati just groom a lot..(not so much now cos she cranky lol), and deworm good. hope that helps!
