LAURA JO UPDATE:

Sorry I haven't had much to update so far - have also been gone but Laura Jo is slowly making a bag - glad it is taking a while - really don't want to see this baby foal yet - it is so "Hot" and she still needs some more time to stay in the oven (so to speak).

I let her out yesterday for most of the day and last night had to give her a bath at about 11:00 pm to try and help her body cool down. Was breathing hard so today she didn't get to go out - may let her out in the mid-way for a while here in a few minutes since it is now late afternoon and a "little" cooler.

Will update if any changes!

Weer update's

Update Lacey:

Well, it has rained her most of the day. Ms is inside for the night and she isn't happy about it. PG left her and went to the lower pasture where we put the round bale yesterday. So she isn't too happy right now. When it gets closer to dark, PG should come back to the barn to be put up for the night, maybe Ms Will be happy then.

Well, I fell asleep sometime this morning. You missed your chance again Ms to go ahead with out me. I woke up and no one is here. Just me!!

Well, the kittens are chasing poor Pepper around the living room. Poor old man. He's a 16 year old Dauchshund, he tolerates them pretty good, but will nip them if they get to rough. Funny little creatures.

Guess I'll have to start my green cough syrup again. YUCK!! Every time it rains, I start this. Cough, Cough, YUCK!!

Going out to check Ms See what she is doing today.

Ms is not going to give it up easy. Maiden mares, gotta love them. She has a little more udders tonight, but still not what I would want her too. Was hoping that by this Friday, she would of done pulled a good one and foaled, so, now she gets a vet visit if she does not foal by then. Watch out Ms Vet is coming....

How much longer SML do you think?? She is driving me nuts

Ochtend update van hun:

Kim, hope you didn't drink all the coffee this morning. I sure need it this morning. Ms done everything possible last night. Every time I went to lay down she would do something else and I would set here and watch. Was even talking about how she wasn't laying down so much, she laid down twice after I said that, not long, but she did lay down. It is a cool 63 degrees outside this morning. Fall is here!! Won't be long I'll be complaining about the cold!!

Claire, Mike told me to tell you "HI", he said he has computer lab today, so watch out for his silly little post.

Robby said to tell everyone "Howdy", says he misses getting on here and chatting with everyone.

SML he told me to tell you there is another auction Friday night!! Gal, you opened a can of worms....

Robby is taking off at 2 pm today, going to be gone till sometime Wed. Wonder if I should tell Ms he is leaving?

UPDATE: LAURAJO
Is continuing to increase in her bag and seems to be making some changes in her hips.....it is still so hot here! Only letting her out for short periods at the time in the late afternnoon for excersize. I don't know how she will progress but I do think we are getting there - of course due date is not suppose to be till around Oct. 13th but with her size I wasn't sure she would hold out that long - feel better now that we are getting closer to that date for sure. I am not getting any fluid at this time but will continue to checking... will update with any news!

I am about to give up on her. You really have to see this girl to know what I mean, she is HUGE....baby is moving around really good. She still isn't showing any signs of giving it up. On a good note, she has developed the dried crystals on the end of her teets. Which means....NOTHING.... Not to my gals. Lacey has found the cam again. She has done moved it twice on me...so if you see the hay loft, or the floor, Lacey is playing with the cam.

Ochtend update Lacey:
Hope everyone had a good night. Almost feeding time here and only 56 degrees outside. Nice cool morning. Ms and Baby has 2 more days to comply with the eviction notice. Friday she gets a visit from the vet.

This years foals are growing like weeds. Red is now weaned....but....he wants to suck on your hand, elbow, belt loop, shirt, anything really he can get in his mouth. And he just started this a couple of days ago.

The rest of the herd is doing fine. Getting ready for all the new additions next year, maybe we'll see color in the herd next year!!

Update Laura jo:

Laura Jo is really acting uncomfortable - her bag is increasing slightly each day - I don't know if she will continue to just increase a little each day or surprise us so will keep watching her. I do have the monitor on and she has been laying down resting alot when she is inside stall. I did let her out today for a longer period of time since it was a little cooler.

She does lay down alot in the morning after feeding - and late at night. Have not gotten enough fluid to test yet but do get wet clear fluid on fingertips.

Looking forard to this cool front that is suppose to be here by the weekend and know she will too.

Dit bericht kreeg ik nog van Freelands:

I can’t believe that summer and foaling season has come and gone and fall is upon us. We are already starting to think about the new babies that will begin arriving in early March, 2006. We are expecting 17 Miniature foals and 4 Gypsy Vanner foals next year. Seven of the Mini foals will be by Bear Branch Painted Geronimo who is an eight time National Champion and three time Hall of Fame stallion. These will be Geronimo’s first foals and we are really excited about seeing them. Of course we are always anxious to see our foals by Fiesta. He has consistently given us outstanding babies year after year. We also have two outside mares that will be foaling here so it will definitely be a busy and exciting time.

I have just put a new video of our Gypsy Vanner colt that is available on the website. Romeo is a stunning colt with beautiful markings and the most kind and loving disposition. For any of you that are interested in a Gypsy Vanner horse, this boy has it all…great conformation, beautiful markings and a personality that melts your heart. The Gypsy mares and foals are currently on our outside cams which are on all year. We hope that you will be able to visit with us on the message board and that you will enjoy watching the horses on the cams.

We want to say a huge Thank You to all of you who helped us watch our mares this year. We had people from all over the world who were kind enough to give us a call when they saw that a mare was in labor or something seemed different with one of the horses. It is so nice to know that we have lots of caring people helping us watch our precious moms and babies. We are looking forward to a wonderful foaling season in 2006 and it is our hope that you will be with us again.

Well, the temperatures are cooler, going to get down to around 40 here tonight. Ms is in a mood tonight.

She is doing ok, not showing any signs yet of foaling or giving me a break here.

I have to go move the cam, she found it, again.... Silly girl, don't mess with the cam!!

Still no baby. If she was waiting on cooler temperatures, well, it is 45 degrees here this morning. She gets her vet visit today. We will see what they have to tell us. Was hoping she would go ahead and have this little one. She is stubborn now. HEY BABY.....TIMES UP, where is that pop out timer at?

Today is the last day of school for 2 weeks. The boys are ready for this.

Nacht update Laura jo:

Not much in changes tonight but we did see the foal kicking. It was a nice cool day here so I did let Laura Jo stay out most of the day.......she seemed really ready to come when she saw me in the barn.

She has been doing alot of tail rubbing. I did move the cam over a bit because she stays so close to the left side of her stall. There is one of the weaned fillies next to her - guess she calls herself protecting her.

Well, things went all backwards lastnight. Wasn't to good around here for awhile, of course Robby was gone to the auction, so I had no one to yell at about it.
