cam van sprite doet het weer!

MOM GOT CAM UP THIS AM!!! It may go down for a few minutes, but should come back up. STILL NO BABY!! She is at 313 days today, so just now at the date she foaled last year. Extra eyes while mom is at work is MUCH appreciated.

lila ja, lol, type steeds lily om eenofandere reden.. Ze ligt nu gelukkig weer. Als beeb eruit is kan die iig op zn eigen benen staan, ipv dat lila dat extra gewicht moet dragen. Kunnen ze misschien ook meer behandelen met medicijnen? Ik hoop het voor haar iig..

I've been watching as well and at one point, she looked like she wanted to go down. Definitely restless, biting and swishing and unhappy about something. It could be she just wants to go out, but certainly worth keeping an eye on her. (Door een kijker net gepost!)

Shirley and her boy seems very content this morning. It was a long night and everyone is tired, but it all ended well. After a rough foaling it took Shirley a while to pass the placenta, but when she did all looked great.

Let me be the first to say we breed HUS horses here and expect big babies, but I have never seen one this HUGE before! When he stands up you almost have to take a step back you just cant believe how big he is. We are going to get the measuring tape out tonight because I really want to know how huge he really is..I know its BIG.

So after the rough birth, the fact that we waited forever...and then the fact he is a Breeding Stock the name came too easy....His name is Murhpy, yes, as in Murphy's Law.

Update Isis
They all got their late night snack and Isis is still testing 12 tonight, not back down to 8 or something
Not really uncomfy yet so I think I'll do roll over checks and try to get some sleep again this night.

I wish she would give up this game...

Dat kan, maar wordt bijna niet gedaan omdat het risicovol is voor de merrie
Het wordt bijv nooit gedaan alleen omdat een merrie lang overdraagt, al gaat ze flink over een jaar, ze zullen dan toch wachten tot het vanzelf komt

Update Lila:

She has been dripping milk for a couple of days, I braided her tail because it sometimes looks confusing to those who don't watch her all the time and see her flipping it and laying out behind her. She also has a small mat/floor scrap on the back of her hock so I wanted to wipe it down and put some zinc on it. Thank God it is winter here (even though it was 60 today) so we don't have any flies. I have really tried to check her skin out everyday because she lays down so much and I don't want any bed sores.

Seems like she is doing all the right things.....

En ella:
She has really made no changes- she is beginning to lose some body condition (most likely due to the overdue-ness of this foal). She is 356 days today for anyone who is keeping score. She is taking several hours to finish her grain and picking at her hay.

Her belly (as many of you have noticed) has really changed to a more correct looking shape so we are really hopeful that colt/filly is cooperating with his mother.

en serenity:
update for Serenity for 2/3/9 is as follows:

353 days today and counting- she is a maiden with a nice udder going. Tail is continuing to soften (but this can go quickly with a maiden in our experience). She MAY have had a tiny bit of wax this evening- I will check again later and confirm. I thought I saw tiny little pin pricks of it but she was not cooperating at feeding time.

So happy watching- we will be waiting to hear from you!

Een leuke nieuwe geit op de cam:

Hello all! I finally have my cam up! right now its watching my goats... Annie was due 1/25/09 and is VERY CLOSE!

Annie (brown and white Doe) is a great momma and is obviously VERY preggers! She was bred to a Boer buck. Annie is a sweet doe and very lovey so you will see me loving on her when i go in !

The other Doe that is in there is Thing 2 (white doe with one horn) who kidded on the 30 of January. Her little buckling is in there.. somewhere LOl they are in there as he is still in need of the heat lamp.

Also, you will see me in there milking Thing 2 and also annie when she kids!

PLEASE if you notice anything at all abnormal about Annie call! i would rather get a call than not!!

I also let them out in with the other does during the day so you will see most my other goats
