Update Tardy:
Scott called me this morning from Ocala, he is at a horse show and took Tardy to vet to care for while he was out of town...

She is FINE and she FOALED a beautiful colt he says, and to thank us for our concern!

He says he will have a maiden mare on cam friday but isnt due for 2 more weeks!

Update Midnight & Missy:
Well as you saw lots of resting last night. Good night for it as we went from cold and snow to warming up and rain. Now just a total mess. More rain today expected and snow this evening. Going to be a crazy weather forcast for the rest of the week.

Both are due within a week so we know we are not far off. If Midnight is carrying a colt she went one day early with her one and only colt. Missy's bag is starting to progress and we have noticed she is finally looking even more pregnant from the side as her belly has dropped.

We will coninue to watch them closely and if any major changes happen we will definately let you all know.

Update Augusta & Shalem:
The cameras have been readjusted and hung at differnt angles. System seems to be working well.
Gussie has still not started bagging yet neither has Shalem. Lights won't go up in stalls overnight until we get closer so that's why the cameras will be dark after 8pm.

What is very exciting is that we have figured out a way to have my digital video camera used to make close ups. So when one mare gets ready to foal we will unlplug the non-foaling mare camera and hook it to a digital camera. So if you open both windows on your screen you will get the arial view with a handheld close up view as well! That is if I have enough people to help me and hold cameras. This should be a really great if we can pull it off. Live close up shots. Apparantly I could even have sound but not sure if we will turn it on yet.
Updates will be posted here as they happen!

Macy is inmiddels neergeploft en ik denk dat ik haar voorbeeld maar volg.
Als ik tenminste kan slapen, ze ligt zo hard te snurken dat ik er 's nachts steeds wakker van word

Ja van schrik denk ik hahah, ik had mn pc aanstaan omdat Macy een dezer dagen zou bevallen en opeens hoor ik high alert, was voor een andere merrie weet ik nog en daarna vond ik mezelf op de grond met in 1 hand nog de muis en een bult op mn kop van de bureaupunt

Ik zit na zo'n alert wel rechtop in bed maar ga dan toch altijd even snel kijken bij de pc of er echt wat gebeurt.

Changing seasons all in one day!! We started out the day at almost 60 degrees with light rain, now it is 32 and we have ice falling from the sky!! How is that for going from Spring to Winter in less than 24 hours?

The weather has all the animals messed up. Poor Bree was trying so hard to get out of her stall, with ice falling, it wasn't a good idea, so we put Lily beside her where they can talk, she calmed down and stood beside the stall wall and talked through the window to Lily.

Still waiting on Ms Lacey. Stubborn girl. Can't wait for this baby to come out!!

Well, here we are on January 17 th, still waiting for "Lou" to foal. It looks like I am not alone in my foal watch as there were 27 viewers watching our web cam at one point during the day today. At this rate, it's kinda like watching paint dry

The mare on the web cam right now is:
WHAT A TENDER LADY - ( aka "Lou")
Registered American Paint Horse
Sorrel / Overo
She has 155 Lifetime Open APHA Halter points.
She was a 1991 APHA World Champion at Halter
She has 46 Amateur APHA Halter Points.
She has 47 Youth APHA Halter Points.
She has had 7 registered Paint foals.

She was bred to the APHA stallion CLASSY WILL, just once, on January 27, 2005.
He expected due date WAS January 6 th, so she is a little overdue.
We had a late ultrasound done and our breeding Vet predicted that she is carrying a filly..., but then he only has a 50/50 chance of being wrong

Since the stallion, CLASSY WILL, is a homozygous/tobiano stallion, we know that this baby will be marked with the white tobiano color pattern.

The lst foal these two horses produced was a dark bay tobiano filly born last year that we named WILL BE A CONTENDER ( aka "Connie")

Update Cookie:
Less than two days and counting! Cookie is really making us wait this one out, unlike last year when she just squirted Tux out without warning. She continues to look pretty tuckered out and seems to prefer being in her stall where she can nose around in the straw and rearrange it just like a “nesting” mom. She and Frosty went out into the arena where they stood around until Cookie’s eyes were shut and her nose was nearly touching the sand. We saw her knees sort of buckle and she let out a big sigh as if she knew she was just gonna have to get down on the floor! She lay down and took a long nap with Miss Frosty. Keep your Buddy eyes pealed – it could be tonight!!

Update Midnight & Missy:
Well we kinda took the weekend off and so did the mares. They were much quieter for about four days and even got a little bit of sleep, mostly during the day.

We had stopped milk testing Midnight as she had regressed and was testing at a slow 40%.

Today Midnight was rested and has been agitated, so decided to milk test her this evening. Her tit's are really warm and continues to drip milk. The amount of warmth is a change that has not been there for a week. I just milk tested Midnight and she tested a fast 80% within the first 30 to 40 seconds, so there is a good chance within the next 24 hours. But I'm not holding my breath until I see her water break.

Missy continues to progress but so far no milk visible milk.

Have a wonderful evening, maybe they will be kind and will foal tonight.

Well I'm not saying this is it yet. But Midnight is having drainage in back, she is getting really pushed out and is dripping milk a bit faster but not yet streaming.

So looks like Tom and I will be taking shifts this evening as there is a chance she will go by early morning. I have wrapped her tail because of the drainage to try and keep it clean and to keep her from later getting an infection.

I sure hope this is it as I want to see the new addition.
