Update Montana:

Well all we do HAVE a filly! She is a big one at that and this was a VERY VERY tought birth on her!

I appreciate all that have not commented on how we do things. We have been on the phone with our vet because this is HUGE baby. We are still waiting for that first drink and are awaiting a call back from the vet...

For anyone WHO WAS watching Montana was sore and kicking out at the baby which is why we had to get in there and help Montana understand that THIS IS OKAY!! This is her first baby and she has been very good thus far...

Whahahaha, die Montana.......

Dat doet me denken aan Fleur, toen Fleur haar 1e veulen kreeg (Seren) lag het veulen in de stal en Fleur vond het mooi en likte het veulen.
Maar toen Seren voor het eerst ging staan, schrok Fleur zich de pleuris...... ze schoot weg naar de hoek van de stal en dacht vast: "wat doet dat enge ding hier" Haha!

She DRANK!!
I want to say THANK YOU To all the calls and the tips you all gave. It was a succsseful birth and a GREAT first time Maiden birth for us as well!!
Remeber we have 4 more babies to come!!!!
Thank you again MARE STARE!!
If any of you are in the area or ever come in the area I would like to extend an invite to each and everyone of you to come visit here!!

Tsss, ik zou best wel een bakkie koffie willen drinken daar, maar het is wat ver zwemmen Haha!

Merrie staat echt te dansen,kan maar moeilijk echt helemaal stil staan.Duurt vast niet heel erg lang meer.

Help, iemand! Die cam doet het niet bij mij. Hij start wel en laad hem, maar dan zegt hij gereed en blijft het zwart. Iemand een idee? Ik wil het graag zien...

Het kleine ding heeft de uier al gevonden. Of ze echt drinkt kan ik niet zien, maar het ziet er goed uit!

Nancy is having small contractions, not very regular, she is sweating in the hind quarters, her temp is dropped a full degree from this morning. We palped her thru the upper level and felt the foals head. She has no milk so we have the vet on standby. If she foals and the milk doesn't let down, they will come out and give her a shot and give the foal colostrum. Please pray her milks lets down!

Ja ok, ik heb de luxe dat ik op het moment niet mag werken door een schouderblessure, maar elke keer als ik denk even een tijdje achter de pc uit staan er ineens veulentjes bij lol
