Ella @ Fields QH schreef:We expect to have her out at least until after lunchtime here. She hit the snow and dropped (rolling again). I think this mare is a fighter and she's doing all she can on her part to fix this. She's monitored while she's out but I will need to get some sleep later today (to prepare for another night like last?).
Thanks so much for keeping her in your sights- I think we have to assume that she isn't advancing her labor because the foal may not be correctly positioned yet. We are trying to give her space and the ability to correct this-
Sprite @ Patti's Ponies schreef:Hi all! I have a very few minutes to update you on Sprite. we are running on generators now, but it has been heck here!! no power still, but at least have some lights here at house and can run the t.v. and 2 elec heaters but for 3 days no heat, lights, or water and Sprite has held on...in fact her nipples seemed to flatten out and digress with all the weather and ponies i had to crowd into the barn...i had to bring them in to protect them and i had all seven stalls filled, with 5 ponies in the aisle way with 3 still out in the mess. Anyway Sprite has changed back tonight and is restless and not eating like she usually does. I STILL HAVE NO ELEC. UP AT BARN SO THAT MEANS NO LIGHTS OR TRANSMITTER TO WATCH! plus i can't keep computer on 24/7 like i usually do. Thanks for the well wishes and it is destruction all over the place, widespread...could be another week or two before i get power....hopefully it won't be that long!!! we were not prepared for this kind of event and we will be changing a lot of things so we aren't in such dire straights again. Jill and family are all okay too...just got our cell and phone lines today for both of us. When I can I will post about Sprite....i sure wish she would wait for power though!!! Patti
Isis @ Dreamteam/Rephartox schreef:Isis tested a 9 again this morning. And she is getting VERY moody...
She will go out later, it's freezing and we had some snow this morning but the sun is coming now.
In the morning you can see our stallion Tibbs Mardi Gras in the big paddock. He will get back in around noon and then the mares go out for some time.
Fancy @ Misty farms schreef:She was very uncomfy last night! Lots of belly looks. We can start to get excited finally!
