Ella is out for the day- pacing, trotting, and hopefully fretting this foal into proper position. Also, HEAVY wax this morning. We are manually keeping an eye on her today and will bring her in later. Send good vibes to Kentucky!!! This is probably her last chance to get this foal turned

edit: op de lowalert cam kan ik ook niets zien, of nou ja, zie wel wat maar niet echt

update sunday, was uitgeteld op 26-1:
I had turned the cam off for the day but have turned it back on. It looks like she "may" be in early stages of labor. Right now I am just watching her before I call it early labor.

Well, here is what we found with her check up, still not much of a bag but woohooo looks ready, she is warm and clammy. We put down hay for her and put the alert equi-page unit on her, just in case. She is doing a lot of back leg stomping, belly biting and tail swishing. I knew she would eat her breakfast, she could have that foal half out and still want her food. So now we watch and wait and hope this isn't a false alarm.
Did anyone notice she did not want Melissa checking her bag? She can be a real pain about it

Alleen is nu de stroom daar uitgevallen! Er wordt ge-update via iemand op marestare. Daar komt ook bericht als de cam het weer doet

ik zit op een minilaptop met een internet stick.... in the middle of nowhere te internetten.
Mijn cams deden het steeds niet en nu eindelijk kan ik de merries zien.... gaaf....

Ik kan dus ook weer meestaren....

Satin seems to want to be in the box more than Katie does. She's not due till but she seems more ready than Katie does. Although Katie's temp has been at 98.8 so maybe its really a drop now that its staying there!

Katie is out for a break, I'm changing bedding in Melody's box (who's cam is off so I can do some work on the computer!) and then Katie will be back in. In the meantime Satin is keeping you company!

update over sunday
Power is back on, don't know what happened.
It is looking like it was a false alert as far as Sunday being in early labor. I am going to turn the cam off again until this evening but if she starts to act up I will turn it back on.
Thank you for watching her with me this morning. I will say this about her since this morning her bag has increased, almost doubled in size. So she may be up to something.

Isis update:
Well, she does like her food tonight...
I was hoping for more changes on her milk but she is still at a 10 tonight.
Her body still looks ready to go.
I hope she will surprise me tonight, she has to give it up someday...
I'll watch her for some time and then try to sleep. Please try to wake me if she decides to do her job

Lass van Heluva is vannacht bevallen van haar kalf. Ik heb het begin gezien (high kwam toen voetje eruit stak), maar omdt koeien nogal lang kunnen duren ben ik weer gaan slapen (was om 4 uur geloof ik)
Toen ik later wakker werd was het kalf er en was moeders verliefd aan het likken

ik kreeg net een low alert voor neverest labs, maar de cam doet het hier niet, nog iemand last van? want op marestare wordt wel gepost

Het was even spannend bij ella vannacht, maar nu is ze weer rustig:

UPDATE:
Heavy wax this evening- straw is down. She spent so much time walking and rolling outside today that we are hoping something has worked. She certainly seems to be getting the vibes and is rolling frequently. Let's hope that she knows what needs to be done to make this a success...

Amber from Fields came into chat and said Khris just called, she is in the barn, and they are expecting for Ella to go fairly soon.

So keep those prayer rolling and eyes peeled.

Khris also came into chat a while ago with this report:

"Highly likely she's in stage one labor. had slight discharge around 9:00pm, now it's much heavier- whitish milky in color, no odor
going to scrub up now- get ready for event. don't think she's playing around with us now"

Update from Khris: ok all- Ella update...she has decided to chill again and eat hay. She was down pushing and expelling remaining gas. We are giving her some space. Troops are falling back and goin g to try to rest...please call?

ze is dus flink aan het lopen en rollen geweest, hopelijk helpt dat genoeg om het veulen goed te draaien. Ze verwachten haar eigenlijk wel vannacht

volgens mij gaat er toch echt wat gebeuren nu hoor bij de lab..

edit: leek op flinke wee oid..
baasje kwam toen ook kijken aan de hond te zien (o hé leuk, ben jij er ook stond ze kwispelend op)
nu is licht uit en na even graven ligt ze weer languit (stil..)
