What a surprise!! This morning Anglelica had a small amount of wax so I put some straw in her stall, thinking that she could foal tonight. When I came in the barn at 3 o'clock, she was going into labor. She foaled a beautiful buckskin FILLY by Kids Classic Style. I will keep you up to date with pictures and will have news on the web site tomorrow.

Update Belle:

"just a quick update....no foal yet..i dunno how she will not just explode.i have never seen her udder so large and drippy evry time she walks it squirts and is very painful..i took her on a long walk this mornin to help with the edema..last nite from 3 till 5 she was doing some heavy breathing and moaning i thought she would go... but no another false alarm her backend is so saggy and breaking more little blood vessels so it can't be to much longer...i am short handed today so i am manning Belle all by myself ..which is not so bad except that i haven't slept in days. i will take my nap today in the barn because there is no audio for the camera..so don't worry i am not dead at least not yet...makes you wonder can sleep deprivation kill you?anyhow will report again in the late pm ..thanks for the poems they are really cute and thoughtful..."

"Yes Brandy is in the first stages of labor--- she is doing the 'waddle' today and is VERY pissy.... she is OBVIOUSLY very uncomfy..... and is very swollen in her girly thingy.... so everything points to go- just up to her...
This has been a VERY unusual pregnancy due to her placentitis....so that's why her signs have been prolonged, etc... she is day 336 today...."

Brandy duurt voor mijn gevoel niet lang meer, ze is "anders". Ze loopt met de staart in de lucht rondjes, en staat nu te schrapen...ben benieuwd Lachen

Starlight Morning Update!!! 1/24

Well Missy is now over due, but she is pulling ahead of Midnight. Her bag doesn't change until she starts foaling, but her activity does. She has rub marks down both sides and her tail is looking pretty wild. At 5:00 this morning when Tom feed she had no outward signs but rubbing, when I checked her at 6:00 before leaving for work she has bloody discharge.

Midnights dripping of milk has slowed, the foal seems to have moved downwards taking pressure off of her bag. She is about 14 days from her due date, she does normally go early any where from 5 to 14 days. We are so happy to have gotten her this far so feeling much better about the foals arrival.

Tom is home today so will be keeping an eye on Missy who we are expecting to go first at the moment. Bot Midnight could definately surprise us because once she gets rolling doesn't take her long to get down to business.

We can not wait to see our new additions!!
