Squirt heeft wax en Gigi was gisteren avond heel onrustig. Veel liggen, rollen en weer staan. Ze ging zlfs liggen toen Dar en ik in de stal waren om te kijken bij haar.
Squirt is een maiden dus ze kan vanalles doen. Voor de zekerheid hebben we haar stro in de stal gegeven.

We have been staying up way too late watching Cookie! She is such a sneaky monkey we are still keeping one eye open. We did put down straw in her stall yesterday because she is getting so close. No wax, but there have been other years she did not wax either. Her udder is bigger and her barrel shape seems to have changed. But that could just be the foal moving around in there. She is also doing some restless behaviors like tail swishing, shifting her weight, stretching her legs and stamping a bit. We are getting closer - it’s tough to keep her stall clean now. Remember her stage name is Cookie Poop Zalott!! Glad you’re helping us watch, Buddies…Cookie could fake us out.

UPDATE BELLE
was woken up out of sleep by someone calling thinking maybe it was time..sorry to report not yet.bummer...anyhow went on ahead and tucked her in for the nite...no more barn checks to disturb her unless she needs me..i will take my place in the shadows as i have done every nite..she has some mild sweating on flanks and belly ,not to much on shoulders..very irritable and grouchy.her udder looks as though it will burst at any time and very painful and hot to the touch..her vulva is very relaxed no more peeling and very floppy she has been doing some winking with no urine stream..so i dunno...goin back for some shut eye i will post again later..oh by the way the song in the barn that was playin when i was leavin was IT'S BEEN A HARD DAYS NITE.... go figure i guess that is better than IT'S TOO LATE BABY ...lol i am delirious..nite nite..

Even heel snel en kort (mijn honden moeten nog steeds uit):
ze is wakker gebeld door iemand die dacht dat het tijd was, helaas..nog niet. Ze heeft geen barnschecks meer gedaan om Belle niet te storen, tenzij Belle haar echt nodig heeft blijft ze in de *schaduw* (ze slaapt in de stallen op haar massagetafel), Belle zweet hier en daar wat, en het uier ziet eruit alsof het gaat barsten en is pijnlijk en heet, d'r vulva is in en out en er staat een radioprogramma aan.......

beknopte vertaling, maar ik probeer al heel lang mijn honden uit te laten, en dat lukt maar niet, nu ben ik echt even weg Haha!

Evening Update!!! 1/23 midnight en Missy

Well it's Missy's due date and no baby, but I do feel she is having contractions. She has marks along both sides of her belly and shoulders where she is rubbing long our side wall where there is a rail sticking out about an inch. She started doing this last year when she was getting closer to foaling. Everyone wondered what in the world she was doing.

Midnight is also very uncomfortable. Tom evidently had a time taking them out to pasture today because Midnight did not want Missy next to her. This is not normal because these two are normally side by side year round when in pasture.

So at the moment I don't think either will go this evening. But only they know for sure when it will be.

We continue our watch and hope to see these beautiful foals very soon.

What a surprise!! This morning Anglelica had a small amount of wax so I put some straw in her stall, thinking that she could foal tonight. When I came in the barn at 3 o'clock, she was going into labor. She foaled a beautiful buckskin FILLY by Kids Classic Style. I will keep you up to date with pictures and will have news on the web site tomorrow.
