Lila @ Lila's Home schreef:Just checking in, Lila seems to be more comfortable standing up and more restless laying down??? Who knows. She has been dripping milk, no wicks and her bag is not that large, but she is a maiden who has been through a lot, so I am not sure what "normal" will be for her.
Thanks to everyone for kind words and keeping an eye on her, it makes going to work and dealing with issues other than pregnant mares easier!

Baby @ Treasure maker farm schreef:Now about my mare.. This is her history.. She builds a bag, then gives alittle wax and will be getting up and down, and walking alot..Does the yawning, and looking at her rear end.. So far, she's got the bag, and yawing... I hope to be able to get to my son's computer to post the alarms, I should be, or I'll have someone for sure do it.. I'm thinking by this weekend....Maybe a superbowl baby!!!!
Thanks again everyone for help watching..I appreciate it so much... more to come...
Shandy, Unforgettable & Sugar Baby @ Mulligans run schreef:Unforgettable still has nothing for a bag, but has a large amount of edema. I have a feeling she'll move quickly when she does decide to progress. She's been tricky in the past and I think this will be no exception. Maybe she'll fool us...who knows. But she is very uncomfortable and definitely acting off. She will be on cam 24/7 until she foals.
Shandy is also progressing...more so in her bag. Shannon got a palmful of milk this morning but it wasn't sticky or enough to test. She has been allowed back with the pregnant ladies for the day.
And you can see that Unforgettable's solitary status in the barn doesn't seem to bother her. Another indication that she's progressing and prefers to be alone.
Echo @ Erica's Tiny Trotters schreef:Her udder is huge, lots of milk, she was up and down all night and ansty - but we had ice, snow, tons of trees breaking ext...it looks like a war zone. We are still under ice and below freezing....
Rain @ Castaway Farm schreef:Rain is still not herself today. standing in the same spot as yesterday head down. doesn't even care to move when I go in. her utter is dropping down more although not really filling up yet.
Later:
her utter is starting to fill & the belly is dropping lower & lower. I'm going to let her out for a while this afternoon.
Fancy @ Misty Farms schreef:I'm just dropping in quickly (will be back later on) to give the stats on her milk.
We are at Stage 3(55%), which means foaling within 10 or less days according to the testing kit. Once at stage 3, it CAN change within even an hour to a hard 6, meaning colostrum and foaling within an hour. Once she is at stage 6 and 95% foaling is imminent within 12 hours. Havent heard of the test being wrong so far.
Her temp was 99.8. Sooo I'm guessing she can still hold on another week or so if she wanted to lmao. But you never know.. I'm just gonna go with the flow. Her hoohoo is back to being relaxed, but not very red.
Isis @ Dreamteam / Rephartox schreef:Well... I'm almost ready to throw away that refractometer and try the good old blackmail, no foal no food....
She is still testing almost 9. Not even a little jump to a full 9
She is getting a bit more irritated, rubbing her butt, shifting wait on her hindlegs. Last year she showed no real signs until 30 minutes before foaling so you never know when she will start.
Her hoohoo is totally relaxed and she has an arabian like tailhead, her bag is even bigger and she still has clear wax, everything is ready to go, except Isis....
I'll do roll over checks during the night but I appreciate so extra eyes on her
