Kiss

Good morning! Just wanted to update everyone that Kiss is still slowing getting more of a bag. Doesn't look like she is close yet. Our camera will be off for a short little while today. We are going to try and bring the camera down and see if we can get the picture any closer. It's only about 6 feet off the ground now.

Chelsea

I am thinking she will wait until after Monday to foal, might be even longer. I just wish she was a predictable mare and then I wouldn't have to worry about her foaling while I am gone. So I will leave her cam up and running Monday, just to make sure but I will have it on dial up

Normally we are urging them to hurry and foal and here I am wanting her to wait a few days! I think she will wait and she will probably make us wait even longer.

But if she decides to foal Monday, there will be no one here to be with her, so please bear that in mind. All family and friends will be at my Dad's funeral.

Shazmara

Shaz's bag was bigger again this morning, with more chunk of yellow-clear wax, but I am optomistic that her bag will decrease in size again today. She remains on the regumate and seems to be doing fairly well at this point.

Hi guys....we are all good here!! It's a Filly! Bingo is a maiden mare and has been a dream. She is talking to her baby....i know you cant see that online. She does not mind us messing with HER, but is very patient at the same time. If you have ANY photos or video of this, i would love to see it if you can send it to me, and also welcome you to post it. We went to a dinner tonight where my husband got a big award, and were headed back when she went into labor. Thank you for all your calls and your watchful eyes, please understand if i dont call back tonight as i will be up with the baby. THANK YOU THANK YOU for being there with us. as you all know, the next 3 days are the important ones. and, if any of you are color experts, grullo x sorrell = Huh?Huh? bay is my best guess. It's a Filly!

Foxy Lady

hi friends, Coffee Waiting... another day at the funnyfarm. thanks to everybody who helped us watch foxy. she has her plaid bow on today since she is from scotland. guess we'll be cleaning out her stall today. i, personally don't like straw. will be glad when we can get back to the regular stuff. it seems cleaner and easier to pick. my daughter linda is out with her now. i will report back if there is anything significant to report. i am beginning to feel like a giant size tracey from legacy clydesdales. it seems like she went thru this about a year ago. thanks for help.

thanks for the kind words about foxy. no matter how tired i am i thank God for marestare. i can't imagine trying to do this with marestare. i guess if it weren't for marestare i would be sleeping in the barn like others before me have. thanks heather, rich, and all the patron saints who watch the mares for the owners so we can get some sleep. bless you, you are really appreciated. we are going to be getting another barn cam and switch this one out we don't really like the view it seems to be very narrow and alot of times distorted and blurry..but until the other cam comes in we will leave this one up and running...has anyone else experienced this with our cam i am gonna look at trying the settings..and see if that will help in the meantime..

Geisha

Geisha's still holding on, got white milk; ph and hardness haven't changed much.....but her udder was hot tonight, and fuller but not busting at the seams tight yet. I've noticed her keeping her tail lifted today and it was up tonight as well when I was feeding.

I don't know, I think she just wants to keep it for herself. She's been uncomfy on an off.

I could use some extra eyes Friday night as I will be out of town in Dallas, will be back Sat night late.........will be people here, but I won't be. Mom will be (house is second number), mom's cell is 3rd, grandad's is 4th, my cell is 1st.

Good Morning everyone Coffee I am up and fixing to head to barn to feed and clean the stalls before I head to work. I will leave Debi in stall till I get home this afternoon then I will let her out and get some exercise. It is supposed to be real nice and close to 70 today, yesterday it was freezing cold and sleeting..LOL.. gotta love Texas quick changing weather. I will be back home right around 12pm. Hope everyone else has Saturday off from work and can enjoy the weekend.

I just fed and checked Debi everything is the same with her. There is a sun glare through the stall this morning on cam I am hoping after the sun rises and gets above the barn that glare will go away. I am off to work woohoo another day another dime ( used to be a dollar but it now feels more like a dime )

Mocha

Voodoo won with a 68 1/2 inch belly, LOL !!!!!! Voodoo is a little bigger than Mocha though as far as height.

Victor can go in with any of the minis if he really wants to. I keep him up front with the pregnant mare so he is closer to us. I feed him a special food 3 times a day so I need to be sure he is where he can eat all of his food uninterrupted. He is really content to just hang out.

We are down to 21 minis now and Victor. We have 6 nice fields so we only keep 3 or 4 per field. That keeps the bullying to a minimum Lachen

Thank you so much for the words of condolences. This is not how we want to start the foaling year, but God has other plans and we follow his lead. I talked with someone today and told them what happened. He had the best words of advice I have ever heard....He said, "you know that filly is in Heaven now. I know someone who said that animals don't go to heaven but my preacher is a smart man and he told me that God made room in the ark for the animals, and if they're that important to God then they surely are in heaven." That really hit home and meant a great deal to me.

So, we move onward.....and our nightly updates are that everyone is the same except Wishy - she seems the closest to go with a larger bag and extremely relaxed rear end. She needs the closest watching in our opinion. I hope that she waits until I return home, but as long as everything goes well that's all that matters.

Miss Breeze was delivered to the show today and I was so excited to meet her in person. She is the dam of Unforgettable and she is in foal too. So we'll have mother and daughter at the farm and foaling....that was a positive note to a sad day.

Nomee and Amber

I dont have much of a update. Nomee was bred (literally) on the same day as Datie. Nomees bag doesnt say foaling but everything else does tonight so I am going to prepare her. I have had a few mares fill up at the last minute....

Amber is a maiden mare so we brought her in to get her used to the stall and being inside. I also want to watch her for a while, get to know her habits and you never know if a maiden mare will foal early so best to have her on watch. I looked for several years for a palomino mare to cross on Bear so I am EXTREMELY excited. This will be the first palomino mare to foal here at the ranch since many years ago.

Denise has dial-up....so the cam is kinda jumpy because of that. But if you get absolutly no movement, try to refresh the cam, if still no movement then it is safe to assume my dear sweet Celeste is playing "statue"....LOL

Dallas

:pillow:Yes we are having a sleepover...There is a show tomorrow and a friend brought her horse over to spend the night..Horses are clean and did not want to turn out so Dallas is sharing her villa with her best friend Karma..Did not have the heart to leave her out tonight so decided they can sleep together...They should be fine since they are always together in the stall whenit is open..allas was little upset thinking she was going to have to share her hay hmmm but all is well since she has her own bag High Five!

If you see anything wrong please give me a call...Going to bed for now..Have to leave early for the show and will not be home till evening so Pleae keep an eye on Dallas if you can...

Brookhaven mini's:

No changes. Cloud got a bag and quit. Moon and Boots are doing nothing but eating and sleeping. The are due Wed. Pulling out my hair! But I also know that mares tend to hold on to these little ones in the winter time. We are supposed to get some good warm (50s) weather in a few days, so the longer they hold on the better...

Strawberry

I'm not sure if that was Strawberry in there earlier or not. The mare in there during the day was a pinto - and I have always watched Strawberry when the lighting was low - so not sure what colour she is.

i everyone, wow, barn chores, house chores and family have been keeping me busy. I read all of the posts last night! How fun! My excitement for Amy's baby has turned into impatience! How will I make it through the whole summer! Still no milk just a HUGE belly. We sure appreciate all of the support! And I love looking all over the country for 'Andrea's' appaloosa. I watched a program on tv tonight about full size appys, hundreds of them, they are a beautiful horse! See you all in the stall....
