Update Freckles & Raven:
well been another hot and muggy day here.. Let Freckels out some this evening when it cooled down she didn't move around much at all.. she been up and down alot this eveving. she looks to be swelled back there and dialated pretty good now so pretty much just a waiting game now. Raven is the same she looks to be dialating some and her udders r filling in good but no other signs with her yet. Looks like anothe rlong night here.. wish this foal would decide to show itself..

Update Apricot & Shy Ann:
Tuesday Evening Update: Shy Ann A 5, within 30 sec. & Apricot Fast 4
Well, everything appears ready with both mares. Shy Ann is now testing a 5 within 30 seconds. Apricot is a Fast 4 but all else is good to go! Both their fluid is the right consistency with it down in the teats.

So now we wait and hope Shy Ann doesn't pull an 04 on us

Update Shoshone:
It's been another hot day here today. The farrier was here trimming the horse's feet and it felt like we were all going to melt.

We are weaning Legacy and Limited Edition and they are doing really well. Of course Harli and Precious have huge bags full of milk and I know they are uncomfortable. I took both of them and ran the cool water from the hose on their bags for several minutes this morning and this afternoon. It seemed to give them some relief.

I don't see any significant changes in Shoshone. I keep hoping that I will get up one morning and will be able to see a big difference in her. So far that has not happened. More wait and watch.

I hope that you are all having a good week and are managing to stay fairly cool. I'll update you again soon.

Update Brownie, Jamda & Ivy:
Brownie's bag is getting black....means we are on anytime status. She "generally" waxes. She's 333days, so right in her zone. She went 332, 339, and 335 with her other three. So we seem to be on target.

Janda is 335, but last I checked needed to gain some baggage.

Ivy 318, a bit to go yet.

100 degrees today, thank goodness it hasnt stayed long! and will leave tomorrow

Good news on Aprils kitty.

Freckles seemed ok all day today but the past hour or so she seems ot be haveing some pains, maybe being out this evening and running around like she did is helping things along.. Raven is the same nothing new on her as of yet. We need that plunger man is what we need... hint hint KIM!! lol

Update Apricot & Shy Ann:
Shy Ann is testing an immediate 4 tonight with 5 changing within 20 seconds.

Apricot has gone down to 3.5. I could barely express enough to test. So when it went down I went back after putting her up and did it again. She is a 3.5 after being 4 for several days!!! GRRR

I went ahead and did Shy Ann again with the same results. 5 within 20 seconds. With any other mare I'd say we are probably going to have a baby tonight. But since she waxed so heavily last we'll just have to see.

I'll keep you posted!

Update Apricot, Breezy & Shy Ann:
Not much change in Breezy today.

I couldn't get enough to test Apricot tonight. Her bag was too full and tight. She has always had small nipples so I can't get a grasp when she gets this big.

Shy Ann is now testing an immediate 4.5 with 5 still changing in abt 20 seconds.

well she's still at it..

she just wants to drive me crazy I suppose.. you would think with the way she is acting she should foal any minute.. I think she is more ready than the foal is right now. She is wanting this over with pretty bad I do believe. Raven is looking closer to now, she has a really good bag today and she seems to be starting to break down some now in her backend. Far as her actions nothing different with Raven, so I will continue to watch her myself until I feel like she needs to be on cam if Freckles don't go soon. :-X well gonna be around watching the girls tonight.. hope everyone has a great night..
