Ik ook.. na ja zullen er nog veel volgen.

Vind het zo mooi om te zien hoe rustig deze merrie is en er gewoon over waakt(veulen). Ik weet nog dat mijn merrie t veulen alleen maar schopte van hup hup opstaan.. Mooi plaatje om te zien en gelukkig gezond.

Text book foaling!
I don't know who is was that called us but
THANK YOU!
We were watching the end of a Gonzaga basketball game & weren't looking at the foal monitor.

When I got out there I could see two feet & a nose all together.
We tugged out the legs to position & loosened the shoulders & she started pushing her right out.
Hung up a little on what is a big rib cage
Cord broke when the filly started moving so we doctored the navel right there & toweled her off.
Kelly is absolutely WONDERFUL for a first time Mom.

The guys are helping baby to nurse as Kelly's nipples were still kinda flat with not much for the little gal to latch on to.
She's got a great suck reflex & is determined.
Her owner Barb came right over as well as her trainer, Bob Johnson.
We are all very surprised that she is a sorrel as Kelly and Sierramous are both bays.
We are ever more surprised that she is a filly
The Vet did a sex check last year & predicted this would be a colt...but he was wrong

Anyway, thank you again for watching & especially for calling us.
You guys are GREAT!

Addi MILK TESTS READY WAX! & Fishy@ Comfert Shetlands
WOOOOHOOOO!!! ADDI IS READY, ADDI IS READY!!! She had WHITE WAX on one teat. Addi tested A LIGHTING FAST reading on the milk test, pegged out and ready to go! HUGE change just from feed time, it is 1am here and I fed about 6pm. Udder is filled out more (although, still not what my mares usually do, but she IS a maiden). TONS of sticky opac colored colostrum, VERY sticky. Vulva looks about the same to me. I did take some udder pics so that I can see her udder look closer to foaling for next year. I try and take udder pics for record keeping and so I know what each mare does. As I milked out of one teat, the other started leaking too...soo....SHE IS FINALLY READY!!!!

Hey Everyone,
Sorry for the late update, we have been trying to set up a new camera in a different barn for a temporary stall.

Both Striker and Unforgettable are inside for the day with full tight bags. Unforgettable has progressed very quickly. This time yesterday are bag was just starting to fill. Neither are giving milk just yet but both of their whoohas are swollen, long and relaxed. unforgettable has been known to sneak in and have her foals in the day, so we are keeping a close eye on her. I think it will be a tight race for sure.

I did take some photos of Unforgettables bag this morning and I will post them on our farm board. I will try and get new photos tonight of Strikers bag to.

Well Wudstock that certainly sounds better than Pusher. I have many titles but have never been called an Enabler. LOL

I apologize if your view of cam #2 gets pixellated. That started recently and we appear to have a loose plug or cable on the dazzle so I will be switching that out tomorrow. Cam #3 will soon be online. I hated giving Ace the boot but we didn't breed her so we don't know how 'set in stone" her breeding dates are. So, while she is "due" she has no bag at all, while Pearl is moving along and getting a nice bag (little but she's a maiden). Once we get cam #3 up we will have one stall as an overflow, then we'll have to see who is close enough to be in there.

I put a message on Whizdom's site in the nursery, to the effect that the internet is down for everybody in that area of Oklahoma, so that is why cams are down. If Lisa gets her intenet back, she'll see that the cams go on again.

However, both girls had their milk tested today and they are not ready to foal yet, so nothing is happening tonight.

Gypsy 2/19, Jewel 3/4, Dash of Color 3/5 @ S Bar P Mini's
We are continuing to monitor Gypsy. She is not happy about being locked inside so we have allowed her freedom to walk around the barn. She can go up the hall to the middle stall and a little past it but that is all. She was doing her rounds earlier today! She is really getting itchy, too, due to shedding, which is common before foaling. Her udder is definitely tightening up with the nipples half filled. Fyre is inside with her under the light. Fyre likes to be inside so we hoped it would rub off on Gypsy... not working so much. Last night I found a weanling with a tummy ache so I brought I.C. inside to monitor with the camera...thank you, caller, for your concern on him. He is fine. Tonight I want to thank the caller on our machine concerned that Gypsy shouldn't be wandering the hallway but we do that a lot in our barn. They can't get in any trouble and it seems to make them feel better when they can exercise a bit. We have too much snow outside to trust them out very long if we aren't here to watch them out the window. Thank you.....

om een low te laten afgaan moeten 3 mensen op low drukken, ook moeten ze een bepaald aantal berichten hebben om er aan mee te kunnen doen

Ik zag net wel iets vooruitgang bij het schaap dacht ik, maar het is moeilijk te zien (hoe lang doet een schaap er normaal gesproken ongeveer over?)
