Shylady, Shannon measured her belly last week, but I can't remember the diameter. She will be worming them again this morning and has to weigh each one, so I'll remind her to get a measurement at that time.

We'll be working on some additional stalls today. Those that should be progressing are not (Ace) those that are on time are progressing very well. We also have a couple that will come off Regumate soon and they have to be watched closely.

Megans bag is gettin bigger! welll nothin to be too excited about
April has gotten more fluid in her bag,no milk yet,nor do i think shes totally ready just yet. Her belly is gettin really low too....

Dolly on the other hand-we are still waitin for improvements....shes actually startin to relax in the rear,she just stands around in the corners of the stalls...she has been eatin more,but bein less social...just hopin that shes not feelin well bc of bein preggers and not bc shes gonna pop soon...my mom is upset over this bc this is the one mare that she really wanted a foal out of. So please keep the prayers comin...
Oh and i forgot to add,the cam is still dwn but we have made progress,just gotta find the time to wrk on it between school,wrk etc.... thanks for bearin with us

Fancy due...@ Giddy Up Mini Farms
Fancy is definitely getting ready and preparing to deliver this foal! She is VERY jumpy/nervous tonight, larger udder and her tail looks like it will fall off! Very mushy back there. She is also dragging her back feet some what and is very uncomfortable. I doubt she will go another week, but I have been wrong before! LOL Especially when it comes to due dates. Today is day 324 and I don't want to take my eyes off of her! I may be leaving her in during the day with camera on from now on.....depends how she looks in the morning.

We've got activity!!

Her milk is turning; it's not thick white yet, but we're making progress. Her teats are very full and she's a loose goose behind, so it shouldn't be long now. I don't really expect anything to happen tonight, but she's showing enough signs to leave the lights on.

By the way her belly was bouncing earlier tonight, that baby wants out.....NOW!!

Classy (2/25) and Scarlet (3/6) @ BROOKHAVEN
Classy's little baglet is progressing steadily. Still has a ways to go, but she's looking on track for her due date or sooner. Scarlet's has disappeared, but she isn't due until March. So we're getting there. As we near Classy's due date, I will probably put the cam just on her so maybe that will help you be able to watch.

I was able to get a few drops of milk from her but not enough to test. Udder is still not full and her teats are tiny. So we wait.....

colt! his front ankles are hyperflexed though, he may end up needing casts or splints and may have sometrouble getting up. one of the legs did not want to come out and Icould not fix it with her laying down so yes she did deliver sttanding....

Whizdom **COLT 2/3** due 2/3 @ Hicks *milk tests ready* AND WAX!
He is a spunky lil boy, I milked whizdom out and he drank from the syringe really good so now I will give him a little time to see if he can nurse. He gets along ok on those legs although in from hes walking on the backs of his ankles. The vet will be here to examine him in a few hours, I already had him coming for breeding work so good timing there. The first foot came out ok but the second was stuck back beside his head. It was a lot more difficut to get in there and manuver with her being a maiden but once I got that second leg pulled out he came out pretty good. Poor whizdom did tear too and will prolly need some stitches back there.Poor thing, shes being a very good momma though. If it looks like he hasnt got the nursing figured out I will go give him some more milk in about an hour. I think he will be able to do it, just might be more difficult since hes so little and down in the front, it will be a reach for him. Thank you to the caller for waking me up and thanks for all the eyes watching. Also,the leg issue is mostlikely caused from when he was growing in the uterus and at some point the ankles got turned the wrong way and her being a maiden there was not enough room for them to turn back the right way. It should be fairly easy to fix though.

Hij zakt door zijn koot heen, vaak lost zichzelf dat wel op, en soms moeten ze een paar week met spalk/gips.
In dit geval zie ik weinig abnormaals, ja onstabiel maar dat is logisch met dit soort beentjes.

Voor iedereen die zich zorgen maakt of denkt iets spannends te zien; lees svp éérst even de updates en de rest in het OOT. Dit topic is bedoeld voor updates en bevallingen.

Laatste update over Whizdom van Hicks;
someoen called duane to tell him that the mare was not letting him nurse. Rest assured that whizdom is doing an excellent job standin for him patiently while he tries. I have fed him 6 ounces and will continue to do so every hour until he gets it figured out. Hes just having ahard time reaching up there where he needs to be and I dont want to feed him so much hes got a full belly, he needs to be hungry to keep trying!

Zoals hij nu staat, kun je goed zien dat zijn koot door zakt, daardoor klapt de knie na achter. Linksvoor is wel redelijk extreem maar zoals je gezegd laat ze daar ook naar kijken

It's go time!! We have a small amount of wax and white milk as of this morning. If she follows previous patterns, we'll be in for a long night. Last year she foaled at 2:30 a.m. and the time before that was 5:30 a.m.
