UPDATE MISSY HARPOLE FARMS
"Baby, its cold outside!"

Well, we had a few hours of sunshine today! But it was still freezing cold! Missy is great, tons and tons of wax, and is dripping milk on and off. (grin) So, today is her due date.... Maybe, just maybe we will have a baby tonight! I am so excited, I really want her to go. (but not till 9:00pm, I have my reasons..LOL) Anyways, we had a bit of excitement today, when Faith (our recip mare) jump a five foot plus fence... and totally screwed up the landing. She is okay, luckily, and I have know idea why she would do it. Go figure, right? Anyhow, please continue praying for safe healthy foals this year, and both mom and foal will be alright... plus that Missy and Fix with have colored foals this year, LOL. Unfortunately I have heard of a stillborn being born yesterday, it just breaks my heart, so my deepest regrets to that family. But again, Just for kicks, here is the Stallion missy is bred to, Ck Kid. Ok, I think that is all. Bye, Taylor... I will be back later to check in.

Hello,

Well Porquette is extremely agitated tonight, while doing her poking and prodding it took two of us tonight. She is a fast 2 on the milk strip test, looks like wax is starting. She really did not want me to test her milk tonight either smacked me with her tail . Her temp well she would have none of that tonight tail swishing foot stomping. She is somewhat sweaty, eating good, trying to pee a lot not a happy camper. Tomorrow is her actual due date so lets hope she has her baby soon I believe it wont be long. She really has a different temperament tonight. It seemed like she put it us out her stall tonight .

UPDATE BRANDY
Well- I think the haul to the vets really got her going...we've been taking her temp everynight and she has remained a steady 99.5- we were doing this to look for a temperature drop to indicate foaling (alot of Thoroghbred breeders do this)...WELL GUESS WHAT!!! It was 95.4 and 95.9 checked twice!!! My mom also felt the baby kicking while she was taking her tempt!!! So i think tonight is it- now for the timing- she gets pretty active around 8-11pm Pacific time and again 3-5am pacific time- who knows!!!

Solano een veulen dat kon natuurlijk ook niet anders.
Missy doet vreemd,kijkt naar haar buik en is wat onrustig.
Denk dat ze snel bevalt.

Ik volg dit topic alweer een tijdje, maar heb nog niet gereageerd, maar wat heeft die solano een schattig (groot ook inderdaad!) veulentje gekregen! Jammer dat ik het weer gemist heb! Heb er tot nu toe nog geen 1 gezien......
