Some staff is going to the horspital with Tess and Chance,
Khris is staying there, because Ella should be foaling very soon.
Update:
Tess and Chance are on their way to Rood & Riddle. This is a world reknowned equine hospital about 1 hour from us. They are standing by for their arrival to tend to little Chance. We debated on continuing to care for him on the farm or sending him and felt that he was not responding to treatment here.
At this time, we believe that we are dealing with a pelvic impaction but perhaps there is more to his severe baby colic? Will keep all posted on this.
Our daughter Brittney (home from college for weekend) and Amber (assistant) are speeding them there now and will stay with them until we have a diagnosis/prognosis.
Thanks to all and I'm sorry that was so difficult to watch. His pain was terrible and we are hoping that they can make him feel better quickly there. He will be seen by Dr Scott Hopper and Dr Larry Bramlage (many will now from TB racing- he is the official vet for many high profile races). They are in the best hands we can give them now-
Thankfully, their owner made the decision to let us send them down-

Nee hoor, dan hoef je alleen maar dit scherm open te laten staan op je computer:

Bij de cams staan knoppen zodat je zelf een alert zou kunnen geven als je iets spannends ziet
Citaat:Update for both boards...
Ella is surely acting like something is up. Mushy poo, most of her dinner hay is strewn around the stall, and she has been down several times pushing, straining, and groaning. All that's missing here is her water breaking. Also, she is doing a very odd weak muscles in the hindquarters thingy. She will literally buckle her hind legs with any pressure whatsoever applied there.
She was upset when Tess and Chance left but seems more preoccupied right now with her "meditation".

Thanks to all for the vigil tonight. I've gotten about 20 minutes sleep and am hoping to squeeze a little more in if Ella will cooperate.

Citaat:Hello all, I just got home from the hospital trip. I can't wait to go to bed, but I thought I'd give a quick update. The vets got right to work as soon as Tess and Chance got in the stall and both behaved pretty darn well for being in a new place and all other circumstances. We stayed while he was treated and they are hopeful, so, all we can do now is wait until they get the rest of the tests back later this AM and for him to pass along the impaction. This was my first time taking a horse, let alone mom and newborn, to the hospital and first time with a gooseneck trailer.. but like they say- there's a first time for everything. I'm just thankful we have been able to handle all of this so well and Tess and Chance are in great hands. Thanks again everyone for everything!!!
Citaat:Oh, Uluru....where are the !!!! sigh....Don't you just love maidens? I think they thrive on being center court and keeping us on the edge of our seats and disturbing our beauty sleep
I'll be headed out to the barn shortly and see what progress has been made...can't decide if I'll let her spend some time with her buddies or not - will see - she seemed a bit put out yesterday having to share the stall since they always seem to congregate in there...
Thank you all for your vigiliance last night...I really really believe we're close - she has to be! I haven't left the house in days - well except to tend to your highness out in the barn. feeling a bit housebound.
So, Uluru, really, sweetie, it's time to share your with us!
would some help? how about a ?
Citaat:Honestly, it's so hard to tell her being a maiden. Earlier she was pacing a lot, pawing at the gound, getting up and down over and over, and appeared to be pushing. Now she just looks like she's laying down chewing her cud. But physically all the signs are there. Her udder is as tight and full as it can get, her vajayjay is lose, and her butt is pure jello. Its just up to her now.
Citaat:Hey everyone. Thanks for watching and posting your observations. We really appreciate it. She seemed to be feeling better when I went out early this morning to feed and clean stalls. I read that several of you noted she was rolling...in a way I am impressed that given her size and shape, she could even roll. She is looking pretty pregnant. That is new for her in her current condition. Hopefully nothing to be concerned about. All of our horses have been "rollers" though starting with our old man (gelding) who was always good for 3 or 4 at a time especially when he found soft dirt. Sorry for the occasional video interference - we are using a wireless system and it seems to get interrupted every now and then.
We can't wait for the foal to arrive. Lila is a registered 1/2 arab, bay roan which sort of comes through when her blanket is off...we are hoping her foal gets her color but Jake Jamal's height but you all know that's something of a crap shoot.
Citaat:Sissy got turnout time today... Boy it was quite the slooooooooooooow walk to the arena.. Big Girl...
She has wax and dried milk on the insides of her hocks from laying down.
BIG milk bags.. BIG nipples....
Elongated and very soft in the vulva and dark redish purple in color.
Very, Very, Sweet Today...
She couldn't be any more ready... And me too!
We are waiting for you!!!!!
Citaat:No real update on Sunday, her teats continue to fill and are getting firm but still not much of a bag, not sure what is going on with her, never had one do this but with her due date getting close I don't want to take any chances.
Citaat:The cam is down for now, the owner is aware. Since nothing is critical at this moment, it might not be up till morning.. Thanks for watching!!
Citaat:Ty all for keeping her up. Yeah we had a huge rush of people, I think she got distracted... She is being very busy and uncomfy right now so we will see!!! Let's see if this little foal decides to play with us!
Citaat:Dynamic is at day 277 now. So I hope she'll wait a couple of weeks
She has no bag at all right now and last year she bagged up really good in about 10 days before foaling (foaled at day 305).
But she can sleep for hours, flat out, dreaming like a dog and then go up and down a couple of times, pawing to get her bedding good enough to fit her big belly
Or laying down, up for peeing, laying down again, up again when she can't get her belly in the right position, laying down again...
And rubbing her hind legs at the water bucket
Isis
Well, at 10:30pm she tested 7 again...
No changes, her body looks pretty ready for foaling but she looks calm now.
She can foal tonight but she can also wait for 10 days if she wants...
Last year she gave us a good warning with her pacing and shaking her head for about 20 minutes.
If you see her doing that before 7:00 our time (clock is on the upper right cam) please try to wake me as she can foal FAST.
Last year it took her about 3 minutes after she went down for the first time and that was a red bag delivery...
She has her foal alarm on again tonight.
Citaat:The girls are getting bags....very small, but getting there. Unforgettable has been odd the last couple of nights. She's uncomfy and charges any mares that go by her stall in the morning when we feed. She's defintely progressing. She looks like a big pear to me ...got that pointy butt going on. LOL
And Alley....alley just glows all the time...or at least when MOM goes to the barn to broom her (I mean groom her). I swear she will just never give it up....I think she just likes the attention. LOL
Citaat:Hello again everyone!
Cinder is ready to pop any day now. All the signs are there.
In the bottom right we have Jubilation
Top left is MGD
Top right is Misty Bold
We have about 30 mares in here on the farm that are in foal for you to watch. We also have a few outside mares coming in to be foaled out.
It's going to be a busy season!
Thanks a bunch for keeping an eye on the girls,
Dennis
Citaat:Uitgerekend 29/1 , nieuwe cam.
http://www.marestare.com/cam.php?alias=tinytrottersCitaat:Friday night update on Echo..........her udder is really actually very full now, tight and also getting quite warm. I think we are getting close!!! But she didnt' test "ready" yet.......she's about 100 on the foal watch tests and not a whole lot different on her ph/hardness than before.
She usually is one that waxes and shows signs very well....I will be putting the breeder alert on her tommorrow to start really watching her. I think it will be within a week for sure......
Citaat:Shirley is back on camera tonight. She is past due, and I dont know when she is going to go. She has a small amount of wax as of 11:00 tonight.

http://www.marestare.com/cam.php?alias=rodiesCitaat:Her owner reported they didn't think she took her first time around. Her vet has confirmed though she's heavy in foal so she should be due any time now.
Edit - And as a huge fan of Hallie, I wouldn't mind the method in order for us to see Pickles soon.
Citaat:sorry about the blip with the cams - had to reboot
watching this girl closely!!!
Citaat:Just checked over on their board and her last update from today said no changes still not bagging. So its just a wait and see game with her.
Citaat:Sorry for the inconvience of the cam being off. Our internet company was doing some upgrading on our tower so we had no service. It's back up and going and Nelly is back, but w/ no changes. I think the 80 degree temperature we had today caused her bag to shrink just a little. She was pretty sweaty in her flanks, between her back legs, and around the back of her ears. We are expecting much colder weather coming in tomorrow w/ a chance of precipitation. So the weather will be much different for the next week or so.
But boy the weather today was sooooo nice!
Citaat:Well, I got Sprites belly shaved, she went out and had some really good rolls and actually trotted around some, pretty funny to watch her move, as she is very big and just looks funny moving any faster than a walk I still think she has a few days, but you never know. Her bag is full, tight and she did have opac colored fluid around 2pm, not quite milk, but super sticky and thick. She is on day 305 today, and foaled at 313 last year.
