yeah, I had to swat her with the towel a couple times...she didnt want me near the baby.better than last year though. from what i had gathered, she'd only foaled in a herd environment before...so they have to be a bit more protective

Update Apricot & Shy Ann:
Vrijdag:
Shy Ann Is Now On The Cam,too, She's making some fast changes.......
So we brought her in just to be safe. Her bag is very large and she's testing 3 on the strips now. Knowing Shy Ann she'll drag it out though til she has wax all down her legs! She did test a 5 last year for several days before foaling we we'll see!

I tried to get the Refreshing Cam going tonight but the dang thing keeps erroring on the server side. So we're alternating them right now.

There hasn't been any changes in Apricot. She's VERY uncomfortable and that baby is getting batted out quite a bit now. Apricot is the only mare I've seen that does the head talking thing wiht her foal before it ever hits the ground! LOL

Friday Evening Update, Wierd~
Well, Apricot has gone backwards! Her bag seems smaller this evening and she is testing a 3 again! She's always so hard to predict because she doesn't seem to have a pattern. She's foaled from 292 days to 331 for me!

Shy Ann on the other hand is testing 3.5 this evening. Her bag is much bigger than Apricot's now. If they continue like this I believe that Ms Shy Ann may very well beat her! LOL

Saturday Evening Update, on Shy Ann & Apricot
Shy Ann has advanced to where her bag is double the size of Apricot's. She's now testing 4 on the strips and Apricot is still down to 3.5!

But Shy Ann's vulva has changed as well as her fluid. It's thickening up quite a bit and very sticky.

We have swapped their stalls as Shy Ann seems closer than Apricot now.

Barbie Update!!

Well, we were fooled! I sent Barbie home in March because she didn't appear to be pregnant and we thought she might have been the one to abort the fetus Bobbie found in the paddock. I haven't bothered to check on her as she's Bobbie's mare and I thought she'd be checking her girls. Here's a surprise... Barbie foaled today!! She's at Bobbie's and she and her baby have been moved to the barn from the pasture. I am meeting Bobbie up there at 3:30 to check the baby and mom out and to give shots, etc. I'm not sure of the sex of the foal yet and will post again after I go see it. I'll also try to take some photos.

Update Charlotte:
well tonight Charlotte has been laying down almost all night.. so I decided to put her back on cam. Freckles is still the same. Charlotte could foal anytime now she is due in 4 days so it could be tonight or the next couple days but I need to start watching her real close now. Guess not much sleep for me now.. She has been laying downa lot and moaning like she did when she had gracie so she knows shes getting close also. so with my cam acting odd and all I will be trying to stay close to the cam and watch her. but i will post if i nap or have to go somewhere to get soem help watching her..

can't wait to meet this one for sure been waiting on this foal seems like a long time now, had this breeding planned for 2 years now.. lol Also this is the first time she has ever been under the lights like this before foaling.. she like sthe dark when she gets close so if I feel like the lights are bothering her too bad I may not have her on a whole lot at night until her wtaer breaks so she won;t prolong it, which she will and can do she has done it before in the past.

Ik gok dat Apricot de merrie is die NU staat en Shy Ann in de stal met de groene en rode emmer.
Apricot was al eerder op de cam en stond toen ook in die stal.
