I'm not sure what was up with her extreme bout of uncomfyness earlier - but I have to say the ay she is sleeping it will most likely not be tonight. Darn mares will get you every time. I do believe we are getting close though, with all of the outward signs she is showing.. I just hope it is soon. But I think if she were to have the foal she would not be lying down this early.. or sleeping LOL... So... awww.. I'm dissapointed now but I guess it has to come out some time.

To answer some of the questions, the flat ears and tail swishing in usually in response to our gelding. She is always yelling at him about something, so when you see that, he usually checking in on her and she is typically yelling at him to go away! Normal behavior for her.

I have been to heck and back this morning!!! Woke up at 6:00 AM fine, went to bathroom then back to bed, 7:00 AM when Fred left said good bye and felt fine! Started waking up b/w 7 and 9 when I got up and felt and awful sinus headache pressure behind my right eye,,,which is unusal and about 10:00 AM started feeling stomach upset..so I ate a small roll with smoked turkey on it..by 10:30 AM felt nausas (sp?) and took some Advil Sinus and Cold to help pressure behind eye..not supposed to take sinus meds due to high blood pressure..but could not stand it any longer...I htink the sinus pressure was so bad it was making me nausus...no relief by 11:30 from Advil med..then took Pepto for stomach. By now I'm dizzy, nausas, and sinus!!! I'm thinking just let me die and should I go to ER??!!??? Kiki bless her heart..I knew had to go out being preggo and had eaten her breakfast..so get up at 12 and let her out and Rumors out too...get back to bed feeling like heck. Then start feeling numbness on left side from sinus meds!!! I finally settle down about 1:30 to 2:30 and wake up feeling much better after the 1 hour nap. Still feel weak like a kitten, but better. I keep watching Rumors out front and she was looking supisious for sure and then saw her laying down...just resting... thank God! Then she was up later grazing...her bag this morning was swollen out behind her back legs more so than ever!!! So should be interesting to see what she looks like tonight. Plus as some one said last year lady town is out of commission for a few days too and I feel like crap!

Will post later about Rumors once she comes in. Poor Freddie will be doing all the chores tonight unless, I perk up a bit more..even if I don't I will try to do what I can!!!

I even canceled today, I felt so bad!!! So I have him coming tomorrow and company on Sat..so I have to feel better tomorrow so I can dust, vaccum, mop, bathrooms and ect!!!

She is being greedy keeping this baby all to her self. I've had mare's foal with 1/10 of the activity this Drama Queen is giving us. I guess this is her personal arena and she is loving the center of attention!!!

We have moved our foaling operation to the smaller/warmer barn next to my house this year sooo, I'm sleeping just about 150 feet from the mares now. I can be in the stall within minutes from a phone call. Also, Amber lives in an apartment on site as well so we are both very close to the "action"!

Pre-foaling and post-foaling, the mares live at the larger-main facility. I was thinking the other day- the smaller barn is cozy and more private for the mares. It has a Labor & Delivery feel to it!

I'm glad the kitten's surgery went well and hope you get her pain meds (or enjoyment there of) under control!

Thanks for the watch- I've got people on the cams beginning at 4:00 AM Eastern until we are awake and of course, all Marestarians are much appreciated!

For the person who thought Tess would go a few days ago- so did we. Vet seems to think that she has postponed her labor at least twice now. She can't do that for too much longer so eagle eyes, please!

Edited to add: the mares both have elongated relaxed gaping vulvas tonight. Tess has more color (darker red) than Ella's but both are now reddish (not pink)!

Allie is looking good. The extra weight does not seem to be making her any more lame than usual... keeping my fingers crossed.

No bag changes... her tail head is still firm. 304 days in foal. Cut her Regumate down to 5mg a day

I don't get to post as much as Jill...she does a lot of posting for me; but had a moment to let you all know that Sprite's bag has changed quite a bit from 2 days ago...it is 2 hands full now. It is not leaking at this moment and don't expect it to be for another 2 weeks, but never say never!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her she is getting mushy around her tail head so she is moving right along. I hope we have a safe and memorable foaling season and thanks to all of you in advance for helping me keep an eye out for the mares I love so much!! Remember as far as I am concerned there is no such thing as a false alarm....so don't hesitate to call me if something might be happening.
