Jammer dat ik moonie gemist heb.

Ik heb nog een update over rosa van freelands gypsy horses.

Hi Everyone,

Rosa is back inside for the night. She is still testing 4.5 on her milk strips but her pH is starting to drop. We'll just have to see what tonight brings. She could make her final changes in only a few hours or could hold on for a few days.

If you see anything we should know about, please give us a call. Thanks for helping us watch her.

LADY at the KRUGER RANCH - DUE 1/28 (?) - Today is Day 331
Just a quick update.

Lady has been uncomfy & doing some rolling tonight.
Moka has been rather quiet
Hubby is going out to do a mare check & water everyone in the barn again.

It's been a long day

& we are hoping to get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep tonight,
so, a few extra eyes checking in on our girls tonight would be appreciated!

MOKA at the KRUGER RANCH - WAS DUE Jan 23 - Today is Day #346
Just a quick update on Moka today.
If anything, her behavior has gotten quiter, with a few episodes of discomfort.
She has a nice sized, developing udder, so hoping no problems with nursing her foal this year.

While her stall door is open to her outside pen during the day with the nice weather,
she can visit with Lady over the fence, whose stall is located right next to her.
We have noticed her spending more time standing in the "quiet corner" of her stall.
(on the same wall as the camera).

We are entering what should(?) be the final week of her pregnancy,
so appreciate all the "Mare Staring" to help monitor her progress.

Good Evening...10pm update.
Thanks for posting earlier Thea. Things are pretty much the same from her earlier update. Poo is alot softer and her attitude has definitely changed. lol She ate alot of food earlier today and I thought she was tonight as well since she has been in her food corner all night, but no she must just be picking at is as there is still more than half of it there. Hoping these are all signs that we are getting closer.

Ditto (1/19 or 2/28) @ J Bar S Ranch
Evening all. Really nothing new on Ditto. Her bag continues to grow everyday. It is a decent size bag now, but I still think it has a little bit more to go. Her teats are not full yet and are still not pointing out at all. She is looser under the tail and her sides have went in a little more too, so she is progressing, just slow.

Cat and Blitz (yes, he has a name now) are doing well. Cat has spells where she is a little crampy. This is normal for her. It takes her a few days for everything to get back and place and she is very sensitive to this. She may go down and roll, but normally it is just a few times and then she is ok. If she does it constantly though, then I need to go check on her. I have seen her do this a few times today, but she is eating and pooping just fine. Blitz is growing like a weed and definitly the biggest and quickest growing foal I have had. He is gonna be a great show colt this year!

We are going out for a few hours tonight, so the mares are in early. I will have my laptop with me and can pull them up anywhere - so if Ditto does start anything - please give me a call. I think she is fine though. Back to waiting and watching again!

LADYS CONTRADICTION aka 'L' AT FISHHAWK FARMS DAY 349
Yes, she is. I also caught her kicking at her belly last evening. She only did it a few times but I did see her do it. She's also being more picky about her food. L is usually a huge piggy so for her not to eat everything I give her is definately interesting. Still, no milk in her bag yet but it is pretty large. I'm guessing maybe the foal is moving into position and making her more uncomfortable.

L will be staying in today along with the rest of the herd. It is really pooring down rain and is supposed to for the rest of the day so they will stay tucked in there comfy, cozy stalls.

Ah!!! I am so sorry to hear about your heifer!!! I hope she gets better!

Late evening update is really pretty well the same. No more wax on Peaches other teat,and the other side still appears to me to be smaller. We will see what tomorrow am brings.
Addi has been tooling around tonight, but does not appear uncomfortable in anyway. I guess she will foal when she is darn good and ready!

I am going to have to go to bed soon, I have to get the kids up real early in the am to get them off to school and catch the bus. Please anyone feel free to call if something is up.

Good Evening...
Here's the Ella update for 1/24/10. She is coming along nicely- Ella is about 324 days pregnant today and her udder is really filling up. She is beginning to have some swelling in her legs so we are trying to get her lots of outside time each day. It rained here all day so she unfortunately, spent the day in her stall.

So, thanks for the watchful eyes- I don't think she will make us wait terribly long this year.

Ditto (1/19 or 2/28) @ J Bar S Ranch
Nothing really new on Ditto this morning, other than yes, her bag is a little bigger once again. She is just steadily filling it! Makes a little more progress everyday. Her teats have filled out a little more, so she is still moving the right direction. She seems ok today - so she is gonna go out with the other 2 mares and my friend will watch her all day for me. Cat and Blitz will be on cam as long as the birds don't mess with the cam again. This is what happened last week - the darn birds hang around the inside of my round pen (it's covered) and they were landing on the cam, which moved it and the antenna! Darn birds! As long as they don't land on it - it should stay up all day. I'll update this evening on Ditto, unless my friend calls me and I need to update earlier.
