Hello Faithful Do Si Watchers!

I just got off of the phone with Ellen and she asked me to post this update......

It was a red bag birth for Do Si, and the filly's head was a little twisted. Ellen has had Do Si for years, and they obviously know and trust each other.....Do Si was calm and patient and let Ellen do everything that needed to be done to get the baby out safely. The baby got chilled quickly, and rather than take any chances, Ellen whisked the baby away to get her warm as quickly as possible. The baby has really perked up, and is currently trying to stand and wanting to suckle. Her ears are also perky! A friend has picked up colostrum from the vet and is on the way to Ellen's now. Once she gets some food in her tummy, hopefully things will continue to improve! Depending on how she is in the morning, the vet will either come out and see her, or Ellen will take her into the vet clinic.

So far so good....this little girl sounds like a fighter and Do Si is being a wonderful, patient mama......and GREAT JOB ELLEN!!!!!!
