Ja ze was aan de hand erg braaf. Even een beetje snuiven toen achter de struiken wat vogels ineens opvlogen maar verder heel Relexte Haha!

Ze neemt nu steeds grote happen gras en tijdens het kauwen staat ze de omgeving af te speuren.

ik weet niet of dit hier al heeft gestaan; maar goed:

He is looking a little better, but not out of the woods yet. I should have named him Mucho Dinero, as I'm sure the bill will be 6 or 7 grand, at least!
Went to see him at the clinic this morning, and it just breaks my heart seeing him struggle so hard. This morning his respiration rate was 52/minute, now it's 24 when he is sleeping.
His albumin level was decreasing (1.7) so he got a plasma transfusion. Repeat ultrasound and xrays now show some consolidations in his lungs; he either got bruised during delivery, aspirated, or most likely was dysmature with underdeveloped lungs. He is a fighter, and eats very well. Vlekje is still very interested in him and is being a great mom. This is my 3rd foal, and I can say without doubt that he is the best looking of the bunch. He is really worth saving, so we are going all out and giving him all the best care he could possibly get (not that we wouldn't do that for all our animals).
I haven't taken any pictures of him, still have a hard time looking at the pictures of Milagro who we lost last year. If Rayo is still improving tomorrow I'll grab my camera and take a few and post them here.

I just got a call from the clinic; his temp is down to 101.6, and he is urinating straw-colored, clear urine. YAY! He is really alert and even tried to kick one of the technicians. They will re-check his bloodwork at 2AM, and if his albumin hasn't come back up into the normal ranges they will give him a second plasma transfusion. Vlekje and Rayo will most likely stay at the clinic throught the weekend, so there is much ground to cover still.
